Rode my bike for the first time today!

Cool. I hope that is as interesting as it sounds... At least sometimes. :)

    hello to forum

Welcome to the forum. The licensing is a bit of a nuisance for a seasoned rider. One of the things that I thought was great about England was all the motorcycle-specific parking that hey had. There is none of that here.

That's hilarious - I was thinking of tagging the exact spot after reading about it on GTAM... but when I got up this morning it was -4*C outside - I thought better of it. There must be some warmer weather on the way.

...explaining how their tennis club keeps such a low profile on the web. ;) Lucky for them that the older adults didn't get the expanded parking lot though... OK - I've got it now, but it is still too far for me on an evening ride.

Cam I claim bike gear on my company taxes

Yes, good point. I lost sight of the OP root question and researched my own. If you have your own business then the rules might be quite different.

Cam I claim bike gear on my company taxes

No, just other snow pros that I work with. If I were certain about this, I would do it. Having been "reassessed" in the past, I hesitate in stretching any tax rules. As I understand it the "tools" deduction is up to $500 on amounts over $1000. Better than nothing though. Agreed, it is a...

    Montreal Area

I used to live in Pointe Claire (a west island community) and would almost always use the 540/40 route onto the island from the west - even though my house was closer to the 20. The 20 is a pain due to the extra traffic lights that you encounter. I was through that area on the 20 last November...

Cam I claim bike gear on my company taxes

My best guess is "no"! I am a snowboard instructor in the winter. I was told that None of my equipment can be deducted. Even the uniform rental, which I must pay in order to work and cannot be used for personal purposes, is not deductible. if there are any tax pros out there that can tell me...
