I take mine to Oakville Yamaha at 403/QEW and 3rd Line... Can't complain, but keep in mind this is the Yamaha dealer, so prices are most likely a bit higher than private shops.

Are you trying to have two SSIDs, one for let's say your use and the other for guests access???

I don't remember exactly, but I'm getting around 30 channels.
I personally started on v-star 1100.... it took me a bit of time to get used to the weight etc, but do not regret my choice at all.
I like this bike a lot and do not plan to change it... at least not anytime soon. :)
