On safety note, you can turn on your high beam during the day and turn it off once it get dark. It should wake-up those bad drivers you were talking about. I don't it anymore but did it when I started riding.

Congrats on your new bike. Now, you are exactly like me a year ago. The GS was my first bike as well.

Have you got a quote yet? I got a used bike last year and didn't think it was worth to have full coverage, just liability. If you opt for the 400, you might want full coverage; something to think about.

LOL, you reminded me of myself last year. Started looking for the 250, test rode it and thought, where's the power. I think you'll be happy with the 500 and it's better on the highway too.
