Hmmm, lots of good info ! Looks like I should do some research on all these units and etc. One thing I wondered is how well they would work as I ride with a motocross style helmet on always (supermoto bike)
so me and a buddy are looking and trying to figure out a way that we can talk while riding with one another rather yelling at each other on the hwy or at stop lights.... anyone have any cheap easy ideas or what are you guys using when riding with buddies and etc >?
I'm ok with carb work, as I've done it before, but I'd rather not if I didn't have to haha as I tend to REALLY make sure they have amazing throttle response and work like a CHAMP ! I spent 4 hrs doing my carb on my honda trx450 race quad and it was an absolutle animal when I was done ! Lol...
Ya I've heard there super reliable as in bullet proof motors.... I've had to do a few gaskets on it and couple minor things so far sucks as I haven't had it long and all... Lol... But the only bad thing bout em is my model is rare and no one carries parts for it except the dealers and the parts...
well none the less however they turn out after some wd40 cleaning on them this weekend, I think im going to get them powder coated this winter anyway. Just received a quote from a local place in Guelph here they said 100$ to do both rims, which I don't think is bad at all
Ya, gonna check a couple places in guelph and see about a quote to see what it will cost to be done. Might be something I'll do come winter time this year :) hopefully it isn't as expensive as buying new rims haha
Well this is on my supermoto, so cleaning the plastic's isn't that high on my list haha plus there orange so it don't show dirt or grim at all. I just like to keep my stuff cleaned and looking as nice as one can. I'm gonna try WD40 and some rags this weekend, and hopefully it works :)...
nope clear coat still on the rim can tell by looking at it, otherwise it would have the oxidation look to it and it looks normal just "pale/dull" looking
yep theyre aluminum checked em before work here with a magnet. so hopefully this weekend I can try some wd40... worst case scenario they don't come like I want em to, I will just see about getting them powedercoated in black to match the bike over winter
