I love the RC stuff, but I've got enough hobbies as it is. Then there's this:

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Bit of an update: So I replaced both 20 amp fuses and she primed and fired right up just fine. I did a visual inspection on all the grounds and other wires under the tank and behind the fairings. Everything looks good - no chewed or cut cables, all grounds are secured nice and tight to the...

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

/\/\/\/\ Lol That's reassuring. The R/R was just replaced last year and is OEM not a cheap Ebay job, so I would hope that's not the case. Stranger things have happened tho.... Would a bad ground cause this?

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Ya I know. The question now is what blew it. And yes, electrical problems suck

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Currently my battery is reading 12.45 v. Keep in mind it's been sitting since last Wednesday. I cant do a load test as I dont have load tester. However, I have found the 20 amp fuse under the seat and the 20 amp fuse from my VFRness have both blown. The 30 amp fuse is fine

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Bit of a development... I went to check the FI codes and figured I'd re-check all the lights. Turns out the high beams are not working either. I'm not sure if it's related but I just changed both low beam bulbs a few weeks ago as both sides were blown. I haven't checked the fuses yet but...

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Did the FI indicator actually light up and give you a code?

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

Thanks for the quick replies guys! I can't remember if there is, but i imagine so. I have the full service manual at home. And Boyoboy is correct; I meant "cranks but doesn't fire". - Sorry for the brainfart. It sounds like it wants to fire up but doesn't. First thing on the list Thanks...

Bike suddenly died (EFI). Where to start?

My bike is a 2002 VFR 800 Vtec with about 55000 kms. On my way home last Wednesday it suddenly stopped working mid-ride; I was giving it gas, but no gas was being given. All the lights on the dash work except the EFI light and therefore the bike will not prime and start. The battery is good and...

    Build your own Boxer motor

Thought this was too cool not to share. 1/2 scale BMW R 90 S motor model. For a little more than the asking price of $429.39 you might be able to find an old real Boxer engine from a scrapper, but hey, it won't fit on your coffee table. https://hlj.com/1-2-scale-bmw-r-90-s-boxermotor-frzeitf7009

    JP waives victim surcharge fee

I've always thought that the VSF was nothing more than just another tax especially for really minor traffic violations, so seeing a JP waiving it is interesting to say the least. Thoughts GTAM...

How are you getting your vitamin M?

/\/\/\/\ How is the Ride series compared to Tourist Trophy on the PS2? Obviously the graphics would be much improved with Ride, but besides that, what else? And is Nurburgring Nordschleife on there? No buy if no Nurburgring.

    Usless / unnecessary bike tech

So I own a VFR 800 V-tec, and while I love the bike it has some rather questionable (imo) tech that really shouldn't have been implemented. First and foremost being the V-tec system. I understand it's supposed to make the bike more fuel efficient, but a valve check on the V-tec is so expensive...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

0 degrees this morning. Boxers, long johns, jeans, rain suit pants and boots for the bottom half. T-shirt, long sleeve t-shirt, another t-shirt, long sleeve thermal shirt, zip-up polar fleece sweater, bike jacket with liner, and finally rain suit jacket and winter riding gloves for the top...

Ugliest motorcycle of all time ?

Back in that era, a lot of bikes were covered top to bottom with fairing / cowl. I still really like that CBR 600, even if it does look a little pregnant.
