Thank you!!! I was thinking the same thing, Done lots of valve drops! maybe a piston, Sleeve it ,or cylinder, polish er up and go. I say $3000 tops and your running... worth it if you love the bike and just put that kind of money into it...

I buy this stuff from the Dollar store called "Boom". Its in a purple spray bottle, Its just like Spray 9. Works great, after that I use varsal, It works amazing on brake dust on auto wheels to.

I'm sure that 60% of them do not get away with it, you just don't see that in the Youtube videos. Or like you said, if the cop gets there plate they'll find a summons waiting in there mailbox.
