Workwear, other than Mark's (preferably West end)

http://www.svpsports.ca/steeles/index.php I bought a Dickies vest there that is great for working outside for $15 that I saw a guy in Walmart pay $50 for the same one. They had lots of clothes and the store was huge. Maybe give them a call first to see if they carry other workwear.

    Full M

I found the Oshawa test centre wasn't too bad and I booked at around 10am on a weekday so no rush hour traffic to deal with. Had to take a vacation day since there wasn't a exam on a weekend. Good luck.

    Most dangerous vehicle to bikers?

Taxi cabs will stop or u-turn anywhere and Yappers on cellphones regardless of what they drive aren't focussed. Personally I find the worst most unpredictable vehicles I have found are other bikes because of how quickly they can accelerate and manouver. Even checking constantly in the rear view...

    Take Safety Course....Or Not?

Normally I would agree that for someone brand new to riding, taking the course is a no brainer but in your case I wouldn't waste the money. Not that it's cut and dry and a lot of valid points have been made by other members. I think the course is great overall and the Instructors have a lot...

    Have you tried Naval Jelly?

how picky are the M2 Exit testers on tires?

The Examiner goes over all the safety features on your bike before you begin the road test. If you have hazard lights know how to engage them. If your bike wouldn't certify by a mechanic to sell it, then it wouldn't pass the Examiner's inspection before the exam and you won't be able to do it...

List things you hear the opposite sex say that completely turns you off

If she asks anything to do with money within the first few minutes like "So... what do you do?", "Where do you live?", "Where did you go to school?". Makes me think they're Goldiggers and I'm being interrogated to find out my "potential". It's none of their business so early on. Buh bye.

Any ideas what will they find in the time capsule?

Should be interesting. I guess we'll know Jan 26th. So if you could put a couple of things in a time capsule to be opened in 100 years, what would they be? What would help future generations get a better understanding of things we find significant? I would like: Pay stubs from the CEO of...

10mm x1.25 stud or button head bolt

Acklands has a lot of choices and maybe what you need but you probably have to buy a box. Another option is drill a slightly larger hole with a numbered bit and tap for a stainless screw, then Loctite it in.

    Need $200?

I have worked in banks for years, in Loans and Mortgages although I do not any longer. My GF actually works at a payday loan place currently so I hear the stories and at least at her's that is the case a lot of the time. They roll in fancy cars and p*ss their money away. I have seen people have...

    Need $200?

An excellent movie about government and consumer debt: Maxed Out:Hard Times, Easy Credit, and the Era of Predatory Lenders (2006) My favourite line was the Harvard Prof who said something like "Consumer lending is not just profitable, it is obscenely profitable". If you think those payroll...

    Need $200?

Payroll loan places "lend" (it's your money after all) at a rate of $21 per $100 for a two week period. If you borrow the maximum of $1500 you will pay back $315 after two weeks. Roll that over each pay and you will pay $630 per month. You can lease a Cadillac for that. Most people that use...

surprised you social media types didn't post this yet.....

Why does a song have to be difficult or impress anyone? By those standards Bob Dylan should have never been successful or why listen to a simple riff like The Stones Satsfaction. Some of their songs were written in 5 min. Music is art and art is about creativity IMO. It was an interesting...

    Any good Boating forums?

Consider any drinking in your boat illegal for you or your passenger unless you have a very specific type of boat as others have mentioned. The benefits of taking the CPS Navigation course is that we had an OPP Officer come as a guest speaker one night, and you will learn everything you need to...

    Any good Boating forums?

Not sure if they have forums but Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons offer info on their site and many courses. There is probably a local chapter you could join too: http://www.cps-ecp.ca/
