A good alternative is getting a battery tender installed and getting the gps adaptor for your gps .. no messy wiring ... I have the optimate 3 with an adaptor which u plus and unplug inside the rear seat ... and the battery tender comes in really handy if you kill your battery.

I just finished the first part of my trip and I'm wondering why there is such a big difference in the speed from my actual speedometer and my gps. Which one would you think would be more accurate?
Its a pretty significant difference. At 119 kmps (on the bike) the gps reads 111 kmps.
