On topic, I was in a 70km/h zone today and a bike came by the other direction at probably at least 150km/h. Seems like a good way to lose your license.

How come you can't get your M1 now? Also you might want to call around about insurance quotes now. I don't know how old you are or how they bracket that bike but buying a bike before getting a quote can be risky.
I tried using earphones last night around town. It's fun but I don't like how distracting it is.
I think it would be a good setup for long distance riding, just not city riding (for me anyway).
