The 650 has some good low torque, maybe that did it. It looks like a slight twist of the throttle, but yeah not that much. Easing off the throttle is what I do, and it's worked for me...at low speed anyway.

Slammed the throttle on cold tires.... I did this on my 650 last winter when I bought it and rode it home. Was used to my 250... I didn't go down tho but the rear slid out a bit. It doesn't look like he eased off the gas when it started happening and it just went out from under him.

Agree with all the above. Before you buy used gear check out GP and Royal. Often I see used gear on KIJIJI for about as much as I paid for it at Royal Brand new. There is also Re-Gear Oshawa that is pretty close by that has a storefront so you can get a good selection of used gear there.
