you're pretty limited for after market pipes for these v-star/virago 250 (xv250). most of them have the 'universal fit' and may require rejetting. unless you get a custom made set, the most common ones are the: west eagle drag pipes, jardine straight pipes, and drag specialties which i believe...
thanks for the reply peeps.
so if 10w-40 is good for -5c to 40c temp range, then would using a 5w-40 oil on -5c to 40c temp range be ok too? i guess this is what actually i was after. that made my question sound simpler
i understand that the 5w-40 can go and perform better in lower...
for the t6 5w-40 users, you guys/gals use this for the whole year?
i see there's only two grades available for the t6, 5w-40 and 0w-40. and only 15w-40 for the regular t.

hi peeps,
i think i used a correct title, if not, let me know.
i'll use a specific oil designation for ease. what would be the negative effects, if any, for using a 5w-40 during warm/hot weather instead of 10w-40 or 15w-40 etc. notice the focus is on the first number (cold temp...
just a thought, u fellow virago 250 ers wanna meet up and 'slowly' cruise around?! ahah.
the 250 rides are mostly sports bikes (no issues here), i just thought it would be nice to have a 250 cruiser group ride. what dyou guys think?!
hey yamaha peeps. ive got a virago 250. smallest vtwin available in canada(?!) or is the 125 available here too?! anyhow, vstar is from the virago family so i guess im in?! hahha.
there's another 'rotella is on sale' thread, but i was just wondering, i thought the regular t (dino oil) is not good for wet clutch? or something along the lines that it doesn't meet the standards to be used for wet clutch?! and only the t6 meets the standards/requirements...
i thought the rotella dino (regular t) is not good for wet clutch? or something along the lines that it doesn't meet the standards to be used for wet clutch?!

(it's on sale right now too at ct).
you can get them from any bike shop, if they dont have it in stock they'll order it for you. ive never seen them in walmart nor ct. i ordered mine from ebay. just make sure the holes line up and the cover or frame can accomodate ontario plates. i had to make new holes on the frame and plate...
yeah i notice that too. around 80kmh and around 105-110kmh then it tapers off. either it actually vibrates less or getting used to the vibration haha. pretty much same here. buying a bigger bike seems more plausible but insurance makes it not doable. im quite happy with my bike and it's...
hey thanks for sharing man.
were you bothered by the vibration during your trip? i have a virago 250 as well. i did a 12hr stop and go trip before. this was my longest single ride/trip on my bike. it wasn't a destination trip, it was a ride and end up somewhere kinda thing. mostly...
