I have an icon leather jacket. I went down twice with the jacket and I'm still using it. Just a bit scuffed. As for the rider going down, it looks like he tried to increase the lean and his foot got dragged (because of the material) and then it go edged to the bike, lifting up the rear tire...

Actually some insurances take parking lot accidents as 50/50, so in that case both pay for deductible. But I don't think that's the case here.. Looks like a street parking.

That's a 40 zone and heavy policed. I went by when the roads were closed yesterday, probably for the investigation. Just drove by and saw his helmet hanging on the tree. Looks like the drive was making a left turn into the Tim Hortons parking lot. My condolences to his family.
