    No!!! Transmission problems!!!

Imagine how I felt, listening to the many bikes whiz by as I was 'arguing' with it. :(

    No!!! Transmission problems!!!

ok, no pretty pics, just an update in the hopes of saving someone else the hassles.... I built a damn around the bolt with some Plasticine (sorry kids) and soaked the bolt in penetrating oil all week (no time to work on her this week), topping it up every night. Plan A Vice grips There was...

I've left mine at the dry cleaners, to pick up the next day... Luckily I don;t have to wear the full suit since things went "business casual".

Returning - Why did I leave?

Thanks! I spent the weekend removing a single bolt ... but I did and now it's assembly time. ;) Yes, I loved my Virago, it was a nice bike, my first shaft drive.

    Toxic work colleagues

Yes, document everything as recommended but, don't respond or you might be adding credibility... Kill her with kindness, compliment her on her clothes, her hair, whatever you can think of. It'll drive her batty and you'll look good. DO NOT stoop to her level. Working in (and mostly across) a...

You know you're a rider when....

Yes you are. ;) Welcome. I commute to Scarborough, half my commute is in "Country", Once I'm North of the zoo, riding becomes a lot more fun (and less stressful)....

Thanks again all, An eventful fall/winter (http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?148174-No!!!-Transmission-problems!!!) but I'm getting through it and will soon be back on the road. My commute route should anyone happen to take the same roads; http://g.co/maps/55yy9

    No!!! Transmission problems!!!

Yeah ... I don't think I'll be asking you to help source parts. ;) Last thing I imagined would be the solution, I was reading, thinking backcutting gears etc. I know my way around tools but I'm no mechanic... I got the spring @ Snow City, of course I had to check out the 2012 version of my...

    No!!! Transmission problems!!!

Yes! VERY LUCKY, after fishing around with a magnet, I also found the missing piece; ... and the new one was easy to install... Now I just have to remove the broken header bolt and start reassembly with all the shiny new parts. ;)

    Crossing The Border

Re: Crossing The Boarder Don't go for the Enhanced Drivers License (EDL). I made that mistake, most service centres can't service you with one of these; "oh, it's an EDL, you'll have to go to an EDL-licensed service centre" this after waiting in line for an hour. I surrendered mine, waste of...

    An answer to tailgaiters?

Tapping the rear brake generally works. If not I just pull over and give them the wtf stare down.

    No!!! Transmission problems!!!

Ok, long time no update, basically beavering away at the teardown (as I get time). I found the problem today, and I'm glad I found it before tearing the whole damn engine apart (I probably didn't even have to remove the engine but meh...)! I removed the oilpan and look what was swinging free...

What Was Your Season's Closest Calls?

Kingston Rd Westbound somewhere before Kennedy; TTC bus pulling to a stop way ahead, I pull left to the middle lane, watch the inevitable pile up of cars not paying enough attention to do the same, conscious they will want into my lane, left lane packed, no room to squeeze in and I have to make...

High kilometer bikes, what can go wrong (safety wise)?

Many moons ago, I bought a used Honda CB350 from a dealership (should be safe right?). Well, the engine locked up on me on the highway, she ate her timing chain. Scariest damn experience I ever had. Thankfully no damage to me other than scaring a few years off my life, some minor road rash...

Bachelor/Bachleorette Parties- HOW FAR IS TOO FAR???

+1 boundaries are personal and need to be established in advance. My wife received a call from the strip joint my work buddies took me to, broadcast over the sound system of course (the embarrassment thing, set up by a co-worker). The DJ pretended to be a friend of mine who was supposed to meet...
