    Lane positioning

I may have found it: ONTARIO REGULATION 455/07 RACES, CONTESTS AND STUNTS 3.4. Driving two or more motor vehicles side by side or in proximity to each other, where one of the motor vehicles occupies a lane of traffic or other portion of the highway intended for use by oncoming traffic for a...

    Lane positioning

Good point, but I cannot find anything on lane splitting/filtering either.

    Lane positioning

I cannot find anything online that says it is illegal, however, I was told during my motorcycle course that you should only be 2 abreast when at a stop light/sign.

How long does it take a new rider to progress to a litre bike?

I think tariffs were imposed on imports based on displacement to stem the declining sales of Harleys back in the 80's. So the Japanese were forced to make even better engines.

First time on Highway 401 today

@conondrum: Yeah I have a 250 but maybe I was too tense. I thought I was very mindful of not over-gripping because I wanted my arms to be nudged by the wind without affecting the handlebar input. I even remember just using 3 fingers on the left handlebar to keep it light. My alterations were...

    Emergency Techniques

From the M1 test: If the front tire blows out when on the road, a motorcyclist should… shift to the back as much as possible. Explanation: Keep a firm grip on the handlebars and steer properly while making sure you maintain your balance. The blown-out tire will make the steering seem weighed...

First time on Highway 401 today

@kiwi: I think I will ride with a more experience rider next, or avoid the 401 during rush hour. @Chhai: LOL no, I'm quite happy with my bike now.

    Bicycle lane rules?

I agree with you on this especially ever since they came up with the crosswalk flashers, people have developed a false sense of security. One time I saw a bicyclist push the button and immediately peddled across to be narrowly missed by a car in the passing lane. Tsk tsk.

    Bicycle lane rules?

I think you were to stop whether or not the crosswalk lights were flashing.

First time on Highway 401 today

Just wanted to post an update. I took the 401 again on the way home from Scarborough to Oshawa and it was the complete opposite of my experience. It was horrible! It was too damn windy (a storm was moving in) that I felt the bike being buffeted by the wind. I already had a very light grip of...

I Really Hate Guys Like This

I think at the speed they were going, everything was just a blurr. The dual sport looked like a smudge.

First time on Highway 401 today

@Bermuda: Thanks, that's what I thought. @delfonic: True, I can never let my guard down. And today was lighter than usual too. Maybe because summer school is over. @AL3RT: I measured the discrepancy last week using a GPS and the speedo was reading 10% higher. So 125 on the speedo divided by...
