Bike won't start - accessory wired and petcock left on night before

I see, yeah slightly different connector and values for that year, but roughly the same chart. 200ohms should work to give you a reading. I would try again taking note of which colour is - and which is +, and what # the pins are.

I'm not sure what this is. At the very least, your units seem off. Try doing the test on page 63 of the service manual. Fill in the chart with the values you get. You should be comparing each of the 5 connections to the remaining 4.

hope this ***** burns in hell.. Woman 22 kills cyclist in hit and run

I agree, she is entirely responsible. Don't blame her license examiner from 8 years ago, don't blame the car owner. She made the choice to drink. She wasn't in control of a 3000lb chunk of metal. She hit that dude and killed him. We need to start treating these incidents for what they are...

Could be a loose or corroded connection. Easiest way to know is to check the magneto and charging system are in fact working. Page 61, 62 https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B71X1E1yPBojd2hpTmlDbkJGNDg

    Looking for Rain Gear

I've seen the over boots and gloves, they would be a nice addition. If I can find them for a decent price I might pick some up too. If not, I'll just go the ghetto route of latex gloves and plastic bags on the inside.

    Looking for Rain Gear

I'm doing a trip to PA in a few weeks and it looks like it will be a wet one. I had a rain suit but it was too small for me, so I sold it and am looking to replace it. I'm hoping someone can give me recommendations for what to get and locations to buy. I'm planning on doing a trip to Oshawa...

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but those numbers look good to me. I'd be interested to see what it shows when the bike is idle and 3k. It could be your charging system isn't working so the battery is continually being depleted. The other possibility is your starter is on the way...

Do you have a multimeter? Easiest way to diagnose a battery. Check the voltage with: - the bike off - the bike on - while cranking - at idle - at 3000 rpm

Also, make sure the LED strips you're buying are meant to work with 12v. LED's can normally only take 2 or 3v max before they burn out. You'll want something with resistance built in, or else you'll have to add it yourself. Light strips made for automotive applications should all be 12v ready.

It does, but it's a bit simplistic so it doesn't show all the connections. You'll want something like this: You can use most metal pieces of the bike as the ground. It'll save you having to run 2 wires all over the place.

Fuse just has to get wired into the circuit somewhere. Usually it's the first thing on the + side. Wiring a relay is easy too. A relay is just an automatic switch. It detects when a wire has power, and connects two other wires. http://www.canyonchasers.net/shop/generic/relay.php I would start...

+1. That would add complexity to the circuit, but would save you accidentally killing the battery. You'd still want a switch as well to control the on/off manually.

    LED customization

Should be easy enough. Buy individual strips, each will have a + and - wire. Probably red and black respectively. Best practice would be to run them straight to the battery so you don't add extra strain to an existing circuit. Add your switch inline and make sure you include a fuse. You should...

    Take Another Look

Just saw this on TV in Ireland. Motorcycles on the road seem to be pushed much more into public view even though the ratio of vehicles seems to be similar to what I've seen in Toronto. https://youtu.be/B-B6gTakR3c

The concept of this place is cool, I hope they make it work and stick around. There are some things I wouldn't mind having (like a tank bag), but can't justify buying new because I'll only use it a few times. Or for things like jackets for new riders, where you really just need something decent...

    Getting over a crash...how?

If it was me, I'm not sure I'd give a **** about people being unhappy. As much as everyone hates missing out on track time, I can imagine if something happened to him everyone would be saying, "Well that was stupid, he should have taken the ambulance and prioritized his life over worrying about...
