    Alpine Fastback Shoes

TCX stuff looks great, I have the waterproof TCX high top. It was also only about $130 for $199 you're getting close to the price for boots. Depending on whether you'll be walking around after your ride somewhere, you may want to just get a race boot or something instead for superior...

    Bike run over by cab!

exactly. You should have told him "this will cost upwards of $6000, are you okay with that?" And if he's like what no way then call insurance. It's good to give people a break, but it's also good to keep distracted drivers in check. Professional driver? How does he not look behind him as he...

Did snow mess with anyone's bike?

I cleaned up the plugs a bit, not perfect with what I had, checked the hoses and made sure they were snug putting them back in. Oil level is good. Air filter was dirty but not surprisingly dirty. STarted it up and it seemed to struggle a bit, I revved it higher this time for a short period of...

Did snow mess with anyone's bike?

Ah I was being lazy and just looked at the bottom of the filter through the airbox intakes. I'll take the cover off and check when I inspect the hoses too. I'm going to look at the cylinders and see if there's carbon deposit above the thread line, maybe the plugs got loose.

Did snow mess with anyone's bike?

Oil/filter was done about 2000km ago last season. I usually do my own maintenance, last 'service' it had was an electrical inspection and replaced the R/R maybe in October. I pulled the plugs and they are black. The plugs themselves look fine but they are a bit wet and covered in carbon. My...

    How is this ok?

I was at TMP last year for a car event...chicks and all bending over the wall to cheer and take pix. lol. there was a photographer girl who kept running across the track to get to the inner circle to take pictures from that side, better hope she looked both ways

    Paintball

OP, if you don't mind the drive Soldiers of Fortune (outdoor) is pretty awesome and super affordable. Also I've heard pretty decent things about Defcon, they have two locations on in Mississauga and I think one in Toronto. I have a booklet of 10 admission/rentals I'm selling for $20. Bought it...

Did snow mess with anyone's bike?

So after I took my bike out from storage it started up fine, ran with no issues. I rode it home with nothing but a peculiar missing bar end. Anyways I parked it for about a week and wiped it down. During that period there was that random snow day. Now I went to take my bike out this weekend...

What is the benefit of hiring an agent for a speeding ticket?

I think what Hedo is referring to is that the Crown can change the charge, but they cannot change the amount of demerit points associated with that charge. not missing work alone is almost reason to hire, depending on what you do for a living. second to that the headache and the time spent...

    Alarms

The RFID makes things convenient if that matters to you. That means: 1. When you turn your bike off to gas up you don't have to turn your alarm off and then on 2. When you park your bike, and when you get on your bike you don't worry about the alarm either Make sure your wires are snug, tight...

    Hey

Any year in particular? I have a friend who is going away for school next year and will be selling his bike at some point...he is thinking of doing it now to fund some outdoor activities maybe. I believe his is a 2008, in red. PM me if interested, and what your price range is and I'll pass it...

What basics are you wearing to go for a ride?

Also, just to put things in perspective, a pair of running shoes or 'nice' shoes will easily be $120+. You can buy almost any armored street shoe for that price. A bit more and you got a boot for some real protection. That made my decision to get street bike shoes very easy

Riding in the rain in the city.

Weird, I've ridden in hard rain but I've never complained that my helmet liners were soaked. Gloves and butt yeah.

I'll buy it off you for $10 (serious) if you don't plan on doing maintenance yourself. Been using rope the whole time but it's annoying to setup

Frame Slider Pucks - Can't buy separately!!!

So my bike has the no-cut frame sliders from Hot Bodies. My left one is damaged now and I was looking to buy replacements. Turns out, Hot Bodies does not sell the pucks separately!! Even though the puck is completely and easily removable!! It's a hollow 4" puck with a short bolt that goes...

What basics are you wearing to go for a ride?

If you start out forcing yourself to wear gear, things will only get better/comfortable as you pick up better gear, or if you ditch the gear. boots with the slider can be important once you start leaning over, your boot could scrape the ground Just think about the traffic and road conditions...
