    Cleaning your chain.

Most clean the chain, because it looks nice. Why not, it takes 10 minutes? It's just another thing I enjoy doing on my bike while I'm already devoting a nice morning or afternoon working on it. Kerosene, and pick up a $5 chain brush from ebay. MUCH faster than a toothbrush.

New To The Riding Industry -

My advice don't ride too much in Brampton lol. When I lived there, it was fairly common to see people just run red lights. They even stop and then go! Heritage is a nice local road you can take, and creditview too, albeit short.

Bike stalls when put in 1st gear

Since you say stall, you mean it putters out and dies or just shuts off instantly? If stalling while engaging into first gear, most likely your carbs are gummed up and need some seafoam, carb cleaner, etc. Does the same happen when you rev up high briefly and let go of the throttle in idle?

    New rider- maintenance?

Once you've struggled the first time doing something, it only gets much much easier. Tackle smaller jobs and you'll be comfortable with how to take things apart on your bike and that'll make the larger jobs much easier. You will save TONS of money, not having to bring your bike in to a garage...

    Brake checking vs tailgating

I will never wave a car to pass me in my own lane, that's asking for trouble. I will change lanes, or slow down in a left turn lane if one's available and merge back. Worst-case I'll just turn right onto the next street and detour. So what, we enjoy being on the bike anyways right? Have only...

Where to buy 2-piece leathers for a female?

You could try Velocity and get a custom suit. From what I hear they are comparable in price. Have heard good things. You'll have to drop him a line and maybe he'll come open up shop for you to browse and talk to you about it. http://velocitysportsgear.com/

    Best Gear Shops in GTA?

Don't knock Kijiji. There's usually some like-new or even brandnew stuff for sale on there for relatively cheap. Used stuff is significantly cheaper if your'e OK with that. It's not a bad place to get a variety of gear for diff weather for cheap..like something to wear on those odd days where...

    Fuel Pump Filter

Haha no I appreciate the input rockerguy. I'm going to pick up a siphon today just in case. The problem is I don't want to get stranded if I'm out too far. So far it's been fine, if it dies at a light I'll just give a lil rev while cranking to get going. I'm sure all of that is contributing to...

    Fuel Pump Filter

It's unfortunate there's no fuel drain valve on the gsxr or I would have done that first. Maybe I'll pick up a siphon on my lunch break. Seafoam is supposed to be able to clean out bad gas though right, I could spray that into the fuel filter?

    Fuel Pump Filter

So my bike is struggling a bit with fuel delivery, that or the gas over the winter didn't have enough stabilizer and went bad. I haven't gone through the entire tank yet since de-winterizing it, the bike runs but will shut off sometimes when idling low (Sometimes its fine and when it warms...

    Strange Grinding/crunching noise

No he said never when in idle or slowing down. Could it be something as simple as something wrong with your brake pads sticking to the rotor (bad caliper?) Your wheels are on tight?
  13. bboySushi

    Chain - Is it done?

Check chain slack at multiple points (spin the wheel a bit). If the distance between top and bottom vary greatly than you have a bunch of tight/loose spots and the chain def needs replacing or its gonna skip/make a whacking noise soon enough Rust on the chain like that is never good though but...

    Car Detailing in Mississauga?

    *taps his helmet* Hi everyone...

Hey, if you want people running reds and smashing into you or your friends that's on you, but I don't. People who street race in broad daylight and run reds should be caught and punished. My friend was hit by a red light runner and was hospitalized in a coma. Maybe someday you'll get the...

    *taps his helmet* Hi everyone...

There was a police bike at the Bike Show (I don't remember what division, it might have been Halton?) with a stickered up GSXR, but I don't know if that's a field machine or not lol

    *taps his helmet* Hi everyone...

Cool, welcome to the forums. I do have a quick question. If I see someone driving/riding like a moron is there a specific number I call? I have called 911 (not knowing if that was the right place) to report two cars who were racing through red lights and going around traffic (in the opposite...

Luckily the Dart only suffered minor(ish) damage.

My 'uncle' (family friend) had both a F-40 and a F-50. He let his brother-in-law take it out for a spin with him, it rained a little and he crashed it into a tree and killed him (the passenger).

    New bike- mods?

Not all of us have garages to work on our bike in the winter! Heated grips are amazing if you plan on riding in colder weather. Frame sliders for sure. I would look into SS braided lines too for a future mod Most everything else is very preferential. If you commute on it look into either...

    New Rider/ To the Forum

Don't you also have to keep a mileage logbook for whenever you use your vehicle to visit a client? PS I have the same bike as you, including the exhaust haha. Lemme know if you might need a spare part or something or need a tip on something specific to this bike. I've done work on it but...
