    who hired this guy?

I don't know where you got the idea that electricity was subsidized when Ont. Hydro was around. It is not true - in fact, the opposite is true. OH, in spite of selling "power at cost" usually managed to make about a billion dollars a year of "profit" which went back into the provincial...

    who hired this guy?

The Liberals have done nothing to fix this problem. After OH was broken up, it was unfixable - electricity generation in this province will never again be a single public utility - no government will ever take that on again. By the way, OH was created back in the day exactly because of the type...

    who hired this guy?

This thread started out as a protest about electricity rates, so I will continue down that path (although the minimum wage discussion certainly has been interesting!) For those who are laying all the blame for high electricity rates on the Liberals, think again. Sure, their Green Energy plan...

    FS:Windshield - Yamaha FJR1300 OEM Tall windshield

Tall OEM Windshield from a 2004 Yamaha FJR1300 (will fit 2001 - 2005.) Some light abrasions on the top half from storage (that can be easily polished out.) Measures 18-1/2" tall in the center and 21" wide at the widest part. Not sure what it is worth, so why not try your offer?

What to do with old computers, monitors, etc.

Thanks for the info, folks! I am leaning toward a charity such as Salvation Army or Re-Store for this stuff. All the hard drives have been/will be removed and physically destroyed after I get the data off them. Here's a partial list... some of them should prolly be in a museum... LOL...

What to do with old computers, monitors, etc.

Hey all, I have a few old computers, CRT monitors and other assorted paraphernalia to dispose of. The computers are old and probably are not much good (and have no hard drives) so they will be going to recycling (unless someone has a better use for them) but the monitors are decent and have...

    Another hit to our economy.....

The reason why most of these plant closures are happening (and all foreign outsourcing) is to maximize profit for the shareholders. A long time ago, companies had a sense of community - that they were part of the community and had some responsibility toward that community. That era is gone, for...

    posting photos - not working

I've been trying to post a photo but keep getting an error message. I have made the photo the correct size (max 620X280) but can't upload. Do I need some permissions set in my profile? Also, is there any way to increase the size of the photo that can be uploaded? 640x480 would be nice...

    Lane splitters take note...

What this video illustrates to me are the consequences of leaving such little room for error. Lane splitting leaves zero room for error and that exponentially increases the risk of suffering disastrous consequences. In this video, the motorcycle was crushed under the wheels of the truck in the...

Shoei GT Air - anyone riding with one? Care to share your opinion?

I was at GP bikes this morning trying on some helmets. If the colour you want is not in stock, you can still order it tomorrow and get the no tax deal. This does not apply to the RF1100 helmet, as those are limited to whatever stock they have. I heard rumours that Shoei is going to be coming...

Shoei GT Air - anyone riding with one? Care to share your opinion?

Thanks for the thoughful replies, folks! I think I'm going to get one! The deal at GP is difficult to pass up! Now ... what colour???? Kinda like the yellow for the hi-viz look, the matte black for the badass look, and the white or silver for the "staying cool in the summer" aspect. Tough...

Shoei GT Air - anyone riding with one? Care to share your opinion?

I'm contemplating buying a Shoei GT Air helmet now that GP has their no tax sale. Reviews on the helmet are great, but I am slightly concerned about lack of Snell certification . I've had a few Shoei helmets in the past (currently using an RF1000) , and my tendency is to trust their engineering...

    $ 1,000,000,000

What is with all this rancor toward the Liberals? Sure they messed up... big time! But we must remember that it was Mike Harris/Tim Hudak and their "Common Sense Revolution" that broke apart Ontario Hydro and set the stage for all of this to happen in the first place.
