Riding Down Under - Tropical Cairns Australia

Looks like you're having a blast my friend! Enjoy and keep us posted! I'm curious though, why the choice of a dual purpose bike as opposed to a road bike, or a scooter?

    Remove Grease - Painted Surfaces

Clean anything oily/greasy with good old dishes detergent (that's Palmolive's claim to fame) :) Works really well.

    Night ride to the Falls

That dirt road was OK (my early days of motorcycling were on dirt bikes, except the CBR doesn't have knobby tires...). Just have to clean the mud off my bike now. Quite a paradox: a muddied sportbike... That was another fun night, thru the backroads of Milton, Halton Hills, Flamborough...

    Night ride to the Falls

That was a fun night indeed. Didn't realize there were so many twisties in this general area. And no, big, powerful, colorful lights don't faze me at all. :D

    Algonquin Fall Ride

Ha! MacDoc's avatar is misleading, it is his former bike. His current one is pearl white, a slow color... (To MacDoc: don't worry, Shewie and I have this long standing discussion about which color is faster...)

    Algonquin Fall Ride

Thanks to Boooya for the planning and leading. Excellent ride, great crew! It was amazing to see the fall colors up there, as there isn't much of this around here yet. For some obscure reason, the pace quickened somewhat as we hit road 117 on our way back :D And those escarpment backroads...

    Niagara run. Saturday September 10th

I'm all for breadcrumbing, but the two people in front of us were C-Note and another guy. We were the front of the pack.... ;)

    Niagara run. Saturday September 10th

Six of us lost C-Note at about 2:15PM somewhere around Vineland. Slabbed it from there to the Falls, took a break at Timmies and slabbed it back. Nice route, was fun while it lasted :D

    Ontario and Quebec this weekend

You're SOL, your route has 1099 km :D Interesting route, but 1100 km/20 hours of riding in 2 days?? If you drop the loop in Quebec and make your turnaround point near Shawville or Pembroke, it cuts down to about 900 km and 16 hours, still ambitious but somewhat more manageable. If you're an...

    Lake Superior circumnavigation

Following your tour with great interest, as it is something I am contemplating doing as well. Did some experimentation in Google Maps and found that using your route thru upper MI is about 3150 km, whereas going around and west of Lake Michigan, thru Chicago and Green Bay, WI, is roughly 150 km...

    Conversations with Americans

I have a couple of American colleagues at work (they commute here every week). They mentioned that there is remarkably "less fear" on people's face who are walking on the streets here. They are from Connecticut and they have traveled to most US large cities. I thought that it was amazing that...
