    Gardiner Expressway at 43.627693,-79.48176

I think it's only in the centre lane. It's not a metal joint like in the OP's post, but just a big bump that is about 1 lane wide where the pavement has buckled. If you see it coming and stand on the pegs it's not a big deal, but if you hit it hard while sitting and not noticing it rocks your...

    Gardiner Expressway at 43.627693,-79.48176

@ baggsy yeah that old humber hump was infamous, i went airborne there once in my corvette and nearly lost control. another guy was killed on that same spot in a vette a few years later, i think they finally fixed it after that, but yeah it's still bad. There is another bad bump/hump like that...

427 Collectors South from 401 to QEW

427 Collectors South from 401 to QEW - Milled Surface The collector lanes of the 427 from where HWY 27 joins it at the 401 all the way down to the QEW are being resurfaced and all of them are torn up at the moment (milled). It's the rough torn up surface with a lot of tar snakes and gaps in the...

    how old is too old?

Ditto. I paid 1 measly grand for my 84 magna. The thing is 28 years old and still runs like a charm, and when i sell it i will easily get my money back and then some. There are TONS of bikes from the 80's still on the roads that are running well, and they are always being bought and sold on...

    New rider - Looking at a 74 CB450

450 is not too big at all, Anything up to 750 in a cruiser is fine for a first bike imo. I learned to ride on a 250 suzuki marauder at the training school, then bought the 750 honda magna in my sig, it has a lot more power than the 250 and that 450, and more weight, and was worried i was going...

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Re: Another cop chases/kills rider It's funny how some people are so anti-cop and think just because they ride a bike the rest of us will agree. If someone is doing something illegal, riding like an idiot, drunk etc.. the cops are going to give chase. It's their job, they need to get that...

2 Bikes get knocked over in a parking lot...

Ok they are RIGHT there behind her, and there is a lot of traffic in a parking lot, so she didn't even bother to look in her mirrors at all, there could have been a little kid walking behind her bumper.. In cases like this where it's on video and cut and dry that she is a complete moron they...

    Please recomend a 250cc cruiser

The Vulcans and Intruders both have some leg room when you put the pegs as far forward as they will go. So do Suzuki Boulevards. The intruders seat is a bit further back which gives a couple more inches. It's a low bike though with a really low seat so you might feel cramped that way when you...

    Please recomend a 250cc cruiser

i agree with those saying go larger. Anything up to 750 in cruisers is still beginner friendly imo. Also, don't feel the need to get something new. there are plenty of 10+ year old bikes on kijiji for under 2 grand and they are cheaper to insure. i think all beginners should start on older bikes...

    Motorcycle signs/signals

What's the signal for when you are riding in farm country and suddenly pass a large field of fresh manure which fills your helmet up with poop smell? I passed a stretch like that the other day and the smell went on for a good 10kms.. Hold your breath!

    Passing motorcycle safety check

Depends who does it. A safety by some guys involves nothing more than sitting on it, squeezing the brakes, kicking the tires, then signing the papers. Takes about 30 seconds. Afterwards they tell a dirty joke, blow a fart, and roar off down the road to the next one...

    Favorite Motorcycle Shop

T.O. Cycle at Lakeshore Blvd/Browns Line. Ralph is a great guy if you get his sense of humour, and his mechanics are good and they do old and new bikes. OP, you could take Lakeshore all the way from Burlington to get there or the QEW and get off at Evans and go east to Browns Line then head...

    M1 switch to m2!

    1) m1 written test at mto. if you pass you can book a course for the m2 at a school 2) motorcycle school course, you do the m1 exit to get your m2 there on a closed course 3) if you passed you take your m2 papers from the school to the mto on the 60th day after you passed the m1 in step 1 then...

New rider, will attempt the impossible...

What a bogus thread. All that talk of exploiting the system and knowing of secret loopholes and none of it was true. OP was just purposely misleading in his opening claims and simply getting credit for a license from outside the country which he didn't reveal in his first posts. None of that is...

This is Why our Isurance is so high - another idiot on the road.

Wow got your panties in a bunch eh? who am i? a regular joe knows the difference between right and wrong and safe and unsafe. 150 is just a number, my point was once people start going that speed and over on public roads it's no longer an issue of just getting some speed up to make an emergency...
