2013_07_22 Kipling and Jutland Life-Threatening Injuries

I work right around the corner from there. A customer of ours saw the accident and told me about it right after it happened. She said she thinks the bike rider was coming from the xtreme couture gym parking lot at north queen/kipling and that a woman in a car came around the corner and smoked...

Monday July 8th - careful out there

I rode home in it at 5:30 and was close to being like the guy in that pic. Was riding my cruiser with a halfy helmet on and regular sunglasses, couldn't see a thing, luckily i didn't have far to go, had to keep pulling glasses down and rubbing my eyes.. made it home safe, was lucky!

For those who started on a Rebel

Going bigger doesn't mean you have to go new, stick with Honda but get an 83-83 Magna, you can pick them up regularliy on Kijiji for under 2 grand, and then you still have the look of a cruiser with the performance of a racing bike. Very fun bikes. I had v45 750 as my first bike and love it, i'm...

Excited to ride for the first tme!!!

Buying a brand new bike *before* even having your m1.. hmm i would have at least waited until after i took the course and actually rode some bikes to see what i felt comfortable on. You may end up finding you like a different style of bike all together after you have actually ridden. Also, what...

    January riders??.....

I'm working Saturday but would ride in on the bike for sure if it were not for the fact that the parking lot at work isn't paved, it's just all mud, which doesn't make a nice or safe place to park the bike for 9 hours, i'd probably come out to find it sunk halfway into the ground lol

Hello! I'm interested in getting Licensed and buying a bike

Skip the moped stage, just get a small (250 or 125) bike if you want something easy to learn on. Or an older model bike, lots of cheap ones on kijiji. I'm sure after you take the course and have a taste of riding actual motorcycles that you will agree and won't want a moped ;)

    Look outside...WOULD YOU RIDE TODAY??

You missed my point entirely... For you bikes are obviously just recreational toys. But for some people they are their main/only vehicle for a reason.. even if it's just on a temporary basis. Some people don't have a *G2* so they can't drive a car. You can get your M2 and be driving a...

    Look outside...WOULD YOU RIDE TODAY??

For some people it's an option you failed to list. Transportation to work or school.. and they don't own a car or don't have a G license. So they prefer the bike to the TTC. In some cases people work or go to school too far to reasonably get there via TTC on time. Especially people who work...

    Winterizing AFTER winter comes

Changing the oil is overkill. It's only in there a few months it's not gonna hurt anything, just leave it and do it in the spring. All i do is fill the tank with gas 3/4's, then pour some stablizer in and ride it for 10 minutes to mix it in, then come back, park it, and that's it. It'll start up...

    cornering technique

Countersteering has always felt like an over thought out process to me. I never actually notice myself doing it in turns, it feels more like i'm just turning the handlebars the way you would a bicycle, which is obviously not happening otherwise i'd be crashing, but i never actually go into a...

Justin Bieber on his Ducati 848EVO

This thread is gay beyond belief. But that does it, if that little twink is into riding bikes i'm giving up the sport and going back to cages. :?

Where can I rent a cruiser for the day?

Reading their terms of service and it's pretty steep.. must be a full M, no M2's allowed, and must have a credit card which is good for $25000 in case you wreck it...

November riders...post your rides. Season's not over yet

I commuted to work daily last year until xmas day. This year feels colder already in November than i recall it being at this time in December but it doesn't bother me, i dress warm, but hell, i'm Canadian born! since when did we become a bunch of cold weather pussies? I also do it for the...

    Has anyone met a scammer?

Yes.. one time i went out with a girl from a dating site, and in all of her pictures she was thin and hot, then when she showed up it was the same girl but she was 50lbs heavier and at least 10 years older than all of her photos were...

Don't need 22 degrees to get out there. I'm out there every day this fall so far except for rainy days. But yeah 22 is a bit nicer :)
