On-Line retailers for parts (older bike)

You could try Bikebandit too, but I'm not sure about how they ship from the US.

Bye Bye Tommy boy Ford kicked out!!

Fixed: It would surely be undesirable in a common average Joe, but for a high elected official?

Should we wave at someone who has (or doesn't have) ethanol in their tank?:lmao:

EPA acknowledges that ethanol damages engines

My bike calls for regular gas, so I'm generally stuck with E10 unless I want to pay way more per litre. Per the ariticle, the AMA and EPA believe using E10 is fine, but E15 is a problem: "E15 is a gasoline formulation that contains up to 15 percent ethanol by volume. None of the estimated...

Buying a car from a dead guy...

If it has been sitting for ten years, all rubber (tires, seals, weather strips, etc.) could be dried out and require replacement. Price shouldn't be high either, unless a family member(s) are trying to gough the estate.

    Unifor vote for Toyota

Unions are still needed, as there are still lots of crappy employers out there. But I don't think either Toyota or Honda require unions here in Ontario.

$10k new car!!! - why are bike prices so high??

For less than $10k? Base model only is my guess... More likely: Rear view monitor +$1,000 Cruise control +$500 +additional wiring harness +$500 Air Conditionion +$1,000 Automatic Transmission +$1,200 + the $9,998 equals $14,198 for that appointed vehicle.

1st Lake Superior tour - Toronto to Sault St Marie - difference between HWY and Ferry

Chichiman (sp?) is frequently fully booked, so reservations are a good idea. But, this leads to having to be at specific places at specific times, which can suck some fun out of a tour. If your camping, it can be cold up north. Around Pancake Bay (100km NW of SSM) was chilly in August...

Vstrom owners - clutch basket replacement

I have a Wee'Strom, so have never suffered from Chudder. V-Tom might have some input, as he's put around 400,000 km on VStroms. Stromtrooper and the VSRI forum would also have good information for you.

Recent movies you saw - recommend or no

Rented Frozen and The Heat on the weekend. Frozen was pretty good, in fact better than what I was expecting from a non-Pixar Disney movie. I expected more from The Heat, a few laughs, but otherwise so so.

    some proud owners here

Blame the unions? What about GM's new CEO pulling down $14,400,000 a year? On a 1950 hour work year, that's only $7,384.62 an hour..... http://www.cbc.ca/news/business/gm-ceo-mary-barra-to-earn-14-4m-us-1.2531217

    Ideas for heating race trailer?

Maybe a small RV style furnace? Dometic's need a 12v supply for the fan, and source of propane. We have a tent trailer, and the furnace throws off plenty of heat to keep it warm. I've got no idea about cost though...

Suggestions for an "around town" boot?

+ another 1 for the Web Gortex. Mine are pretty much shot from age and use, but I will likely replace them with a new pair.
