    Ridding East into the sun

All I really got out of the OPs post was that he/she "loves to ride", which is fine. I believe that most people on this forum do. But, I would like to believe that as responsible riders, no matter how much one likes to ride, if you can't see, pull over (?)

    m2 exit ear piece

I did my m2 exit a few weeks ago in Hamilton. I did find the earpiece a little uncomfortable. No tape was provided, or used. Once I had my helmet back on, I asked the examiner to do another sound check. Overall, the quality was just ok; did the job, I suppose.

    Stalled...again

Yes! When I first started riding, I hated having to stop at red lights for fear of stalling when the light turned green. Even today, there are times when I will tell myself "don't stall, don't stall" :) Especially if I have to start from a stop on an incline. And an incline with a curve to...

    Stalled...again

Thank you for admitting this. And very good point about the clutch. If i remember correctly, that was the problem on my first bike, a GS400e.

    Stalled...again

Again, some people are natural born riders. Having it figured out and actually putting it into practice, are two different things, in my opinion. Yes, I knew what I was supposed to do not to stall, but the actual coordination took practice. It did not come naturally, to me.

    Stalled...again

Don't get me wrong. Taking a course is a very good idea. I took one to get my M2. But, one still needs to practice, practice, practice what is learned during the course. Some people are natural born riders. I never imagined I would be riding on highways, or riding over 100/kph. Now I can...

    Stalled...again

I can assure you, this will get better! I started riding in March, 2010. I never thought I would be able to ride without stalling. It was very, very discouraging. Now, when I ride through a particular intersection, I smile to myself recalling how many times I stalled there :) Riding is...

    Getting passed illegally

You lost me after that statement about the Mercedes. Stick to the facts and truth. Makes one more credible. I will answer the question though. I've been passed before. I would rather someone pass me. In fact, I have given them a signal to pass.

How many helmets are to many?

Well, I have three. One I bought when I took the course in 2009 (haven't used it since then). And two full-face helmets (bought the second one because I needed something larger). I'd like get a modular helmet, but they just seem heavy, to me. Now, if you had asked how many handbags/purses I...

    First Crash

Nice try! Your logic (and I use the word loosely) does not make sense. You're not interested in this particular thread as that is not what the topic is about. If you are truly interested in knowing why people post about their crash, start your own thread and pose the question there. As for...

    First Crash

And why do people reply to a thread on a subject that clearly they are not interested in? Subject line: 'first crash'. Not interested? Don't open thread. Simple. OP, glad you're ok. We learn something new everyday; literally. And if reading about someone's crash/accident/etc. teaches me...

Looks like a nice ride. Where exactly was this? Thanks!

I refuse to wave to these two wheel up front trikes .

If you raised money, could it be to appease your conscience? (rhetorical). Bottom line is wave; don't wave. That's your choice. But don't judge their choice for choosing what they ride. Re-read your own signature. Two-wheels; three-wheels. What a ride! :)

I refuse to wave to these two wheel up front trikes .

Wow! You remind me of the person who wrote that infamous letter to the mother of the autistic boy. And you believe "social engineering" is why our society is broken? Hmmm...

I refuse to wave to these two wheel up front trikes .

You're absolutely right. I once saw a man being assisted from his wheelchair onto one of these three-wheel motorcycles. OP, continue to ride your two-wheels and acknowledge how blessed you are to be able to.

    Beginners Advice anyone?

Welcome and congrats on the bike. Personally, I believe starting on a lower displacement motorcycle is an excellent idea! As for advice, practice in empty parking lots where possible. Be very selective who you let mentor you. Not all riders remember that he/she was once a "newbie". Do not...

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Around 9:30 a.m. today, from my office window, I saw 10 motorcycles heading east on Concession St. (Hamilton). Apparently, there was actually a total of 38 bikes, according to one of my coworkers. Hope they didn't get caught in the rain. Anyone know where they were heading? Just curious.
