First Crash

Good to hear you're ok. Bike can be fixed.

Scared to ask but did you know the rider? How do we know it was inexperience on a >100hp bike. I know many that have started on ss bikes and they've been riding for years with no issue. I just had my first oops since 1994 and I've owned nothing but ss bikes. There's a lot of other variables that can factor into a new person crashing any kind of bike. That's why I think threads like this aren't a bad idea. There's enough to get new people who read them thinking about it for the next time they're out riding.

Great post, while I will always push n00bs who ask me what to start on away from SS bikes, I have a friend who started on an SS and has rode for a season less than me and I'm pretty sure he can out ride me if he tried. On the other hand, I have another buddy who started on a GSXR and hasn't rode since he crashed, he also showed major survival reaction/instincts/fear before he quit (stiff arms, dropping throttle, etc. etc.)

What is EQ stand for?

I'm gonna assume the OP was angry at something (or emotional) and decided to take it out with his bike? lol

I made that mistake once, never again.

I totally agree. I have learned from other's accidents... Besides, your first drop, accident, or whatever can shake you up, and sometimes just posting about it can make you feel better. At least he admitted it, and is telling what he learned from it. OP, glad you are ok and lived to tell us your experience. Although the comments can be cruel and rude at times, this is a good place to learn from. Too bad there have to be some who get off on putting other people down.

Personally I want to hear about accidents around here because it gives me something to think about, or play in my head how I would try to avoid the same fate. Having said that....OP....what happened? And what did your doctor tell you? You gonna live?

Why does everyone feel the need to post about their first crash?
And why do people reply to a thread on a subject that clearly they are not interested in? Subject line: 'first crash'. Not interested? Don't open thread. Simple. OP, glad you're ok. We learn something new everyday; literally. And if reading about someone's crash/accident/etc. teaches me something about riding a motorcycle, it's all good!

heal up buddy.
we still havent rode together yet.
lmk if u need helping fixing anything

I am interested in this thread. I am interested to find out why people feel the need to tell everyone about their inability to keep a bike upright.

What exactly did you learn from his post?

Do you mean their inability to ride properly?
They just want someone to hug them and tell them it will be okay and it was not their fault.
Just my guess :)

Next thing you know they want to dismount their bikes and start dancing at red lights/

Nice try! Your logic (and I use the word loosely) does not make sense. You're not interested in this particular thread as that is not what the topic is about. If you are truly interested in knowing why people post about their crash, start your own thread and pose the question there. As for your question, it's rhetorical.
