    Remembrance Day, nov.11th

Come to Ottawa, it's worth the trip. Last year was pretty cold, but the street was packed with civilians, current members of all services, standing at attention during the ceremony and many veterans. Touring the cenotaph with the tomb of the unknown soldier is quite moving, but especially at...

    Tankless water heaters

Installed one in my last house. I called it the "thankless" water heater, and it was a high end unit at the time. I was doing my furnace and AC and thought it would be a good idea. The issues I found were that you had to flush all the water out of the pipe each time in order to get hot water...

    Starlane GPS Laptimer users!

I have a gps-3 and can send you DAT and INF files from the tracks folder on my USB for Calabogie and Mosport if you want. PM you email if you want. Still learning the software, so there are a couple of versions. Easiest way is to use the auto start finish feature, run a session, load into...

(GPBIKES) rdt mosport september 3rd 2012

!00%, had exact scenario on Tuesday. Passed a guy on the straight at Calabogie, came up to the next guy at the brake markers rolled off a bit, only to see the guy I passed beside me heading into 1. So I let him by, catch both at 2 passed between 4 and 5 and did not see them again that session...

August 23rd... Riders choice at Mosport...

I was thinking something along the lines of: Mosport Green 2+ to 1:50 Yellow 1:50 - 1:30 Red - 1:30 Calabogie: Green 3 + to 2:40 Yellow 2:40 to 2:20 Red - 2:20 Or something like that, but not too sure how close those are. I figure 1:40 at Mosport is quick yellow and 2:25 at Calabogie would...

August 23rd... Riders choice at Mosport...

With all the talk of speed differentials, I'm curious what is considered as decent times for the various groups at Mosport and Calabogie. I know this is somewhat subjective and can depend on the people out on any given day, but I don't really recall a discussion of what are considered high, med...

August 23rd... Riders choice at Mosport...

You make some good and reasonable points regarding expectations of riders with non dedicated bikes, however any school or TD I've been to, has told everyone to hold their line (which should be the race line), and the faster people will get by you safely. I think you and Meme are spot on with...

    Triumph Daytona 675

I have a Daytona for track and Street Triple for road use since it is more comfortable but more or less the same engine and chassis. No issues in 3 years with oil consumption and never had to go back to the dealer for either bike. Some had issues with the regulator rectifier, I swapped it out...

    Peterson Road to Ottawa Suggestions

You could take 62 into Bancroft and out 28 to Denbigh, then take 41 to Griffith - turn right onto 71 to 65 Centennial lake rd. and follow it into Calabogie. At Calabogie take 511 out to 9 Tatlock Rd and follow to hwy 7 then 417 to Ottawa.

MdoularGT, not too sure where to locate them in your area, but they are Blaster 10.0. Mine are a few years old now.

Anyone recommend these pants for hot weather riding?

I wear the same ones without the velcro for knee sliders, riding a naked Triumph. I like them and wear them all the time regardless of temp. The suede on the inside of the knee helps grip the tank and there is some CE in the knee and padding on the hips. Can't worry about what others think...

    RadX Motorcycle Mania

Not too sure if the producers are pushing for drama and controversy, but I think the factory BMW team is out of line in their treatment towards Francis Martin. He may not be the top rider in Canada, and hiring Brett McCormick was the right move to get their team to the top, but watching last...

What is your solution for no vlalve on the breather port. I think that is the situation with my Lightech on a Triumph. Broke the hinge on my OEM so had to replace, but do notice some fuel leaking around the rubber seat.

    Torx 30 removal help Needed

Heat is likely the best way to break it free. Can you get to it with a penlight torch without melting other stuff? If so, that would be my first choice.
