If i'm trying to put in the twistiest possible (albeit 'somewhat' direct) route from Peterson Rd to Ottawa (having done 518 and 118 prior tot hese)...

With that in mind, is my best route to drop back down to 28/41 (via 62, right at Peterson Rd Junction) or are there any other 'Gem' roads in the area that are worth considering?

...or is is worth swinging north to Midawaska Valley, crossing the Ottawa River halfway between Pembrook/Ottawa, hitting Gatineau Park and coming into Ottawa from the North?

Any suggestions and first-hand accounts would be welcome!

Right out of Combermere take the first right toward Palmer Rapids and it the 515(not 100percent sure its the 515) then follow it down into Foymount and back out to Eganville. From Eganville u can head down to Renfrew and back on the 17 to it Ottawa! All hills and some nice twisties with no traffic. Really nice ride

BTW... If you are taking this route, while arriving at Foymount, enter the town, take a few pictures and note that you are in the highest point in Ontario - this was a radar station (DEW Line) during the cold war and a most busy little town - there remain five or six PMQ housing units - all condemned of course - but you'd be in Ghost town alley.

You could take 62 into Bancroft and out 28 to Denbigh, then take 41 to Griffith - turn right onto 71 to 65 Centennial lake rd. and follow it into Calabogie. At Calabogie take 511 out to 9 Tatlock Rd and follow to hwy 7 then 417 to Ottawa.
