HTA 172, WITHOUT the conviction (i.e. even if you come out of court all charges dropped) will leave you with a 7 day suspension on your license (insurance will bury you). Also every time you get pulled over from then on, the cop will see that you've had a 7 day license suspension…hence prejudice...

so true. speeders are clearly the problem. speed kills. i think HTA 172 should be revised to allow officer's to shoot speeders on sight. I say cops should just kill anyone who speeds 30kmh over the limit.

yes, be careful. just don't give police any excuse. police own us and they know it. nothing we can do. they can truly ruin your life. and not about defence. you're guilty on the spot. the law is open to any interpretation, and 99% of police aren't exactly philosophers.

it's all relative. give and take. but as for cars. I agree with Stephen W. 1970's. although the toughest factor is that we are in Canada, and the temperature fluctuations, weathering, and the SALT destroy cars.
