    Riders Discount

I have ordered lots of stuff from TJ at Rider's Discount. He tends to give special pricing to racers BTW. Never had a problem with him mailing stuff to Canada either.

    Goodbye 250!

CB500X.....very affordable. If you want an ADV bike, check out the thread on ADVRider........there is a vendor who is offering a comprehensive ADV conversion kit for the 500, incl. lace wheels and a little bit taller suspension while still keeping seat height manageable.

What was the the biggest waste of money you ever spent on your bike?

Borrowing $ and paying what equates to a 5 yr mortgage payment every month for a work van. Nobody ever paid me more $ per sqft to install their flooring because I had a newer van..... Before that, I drove $2500 work vans-some even lasted more than 5 yrs. I will never borrow $ to buy a car/truck...

LSL handlebar conversion kits by spieglers

Johnny is right about COnvertibars. They are basically unlimited for adjustments. Bar angle via an eccentric where bar tube enters the bar clamp. Height via an L shaped bar clamp that can be slid up and down. Fore and aft as well as width can be adjusted via the "Cyclops clapm", which is...

    Rc 390!

I loved the 390's at the bike show. Wonder if they would come close to a straight trade for my 950SM? The 390 should insure for peanuts for a 41 yr old married dude who's had a bike license for 25 yrs.

The clash of dual-sport/ADV 650 thumpers

Yup. Buy a bmw 650, buy bars, electronically adjustable Ohlins, Brembo brakes, braided lines, Cycra handguards, S&W Mototech rack and skidplate, and call me if you can get in under $12,000 for your 500 lb bike. For ADV bikes, you only need "enough" power. Nobody ever rode across Siberia and said...

The clash of dual-sport/ADV 650 thumpers

Actually, in the CCM it's a BMW motocross drivetrain, detuned for longevity.........and beinf that it is 200 lbs less than a KLR, it would run circles around every 650 ADV you'd wanna name. Comes with sophisticated suspension, brakes, skidplate, nice bars, handguards etc, so no need to farkle...

The clash of dual-sport/ADV 650 thumpers

Pfft. What happens to be my current dreambike, the CCM 450 GP kills em all. It's perfect right out of the box......45 hp...and weighs almost 50 lbs less than a Ninja 250!

    Motorcycle hitch carrier/towing

I have a large hitch rated as high as I could find on my 3500 series diesel van.. I regularly tow trailers for work......and if I had a hitch carrier, maybe a 250 lb dirtbike would go on it...or wife's 330 lb Ninja 250 at the very max. As Caboose stated, the torque multiplication from the bike...

    hole-y ground....

Apparently if it was continued, it would pop out the other side of the hill. If one were to make a very small opening at that end, it could be a very effective overlook spot for that part of the Pan Am games location. If one were to commit a crime from that location, the mayhem following would...

    Motorcycle hitch carrier/towing

Hitch is good for 600 lbs of tongue weight- at the ball. Leverage is a massive force. The carrier sits alot farther away from the hitch than the ball would, thus giving the load (The bike's mass) a much greater mechanical advantage......greatly increasing the chance of your bike ending up on the...

    The Motorcycle Show -Feb 20 21 22

I was super impressed with both of the 390 KTMs. I spent most of the afternoon bench racing and shooting the breeze with fellow SOAR racers....oh and signing up for flattrack school!

Will call. As much as I always said I wouldn't bother with a SS bike for the street again, a deal has presented itself at a very good price. Of course I will need to tourify the bike.
