Re-read, I said "it could be" not "it is". Personally, I'd recommend staying away from a bike thats been used during the winter months...our roads are salted which causes major damage to our bikes. You can wash it all you want but that stuff gets in everywhere and you will eventually see...

.....I should also add, all bikes should be winterized during the time your trying to purchase...if not, it could be a sign of poor maintenance in the past.

+1 with helmets that have removable liners/cheek pads look around the areas that are not removable. Look for separation and deterioration in the actually shell...you'll notice movement or flex that was never there before and may even see bits crumble out when you give it a squeeze...

Just about every dealer has some sort of special on tires but sometimes limited to certain brands and models. What are you riding and what kind of tires are you looking for?

Personally I prefer the "feel" of cable over hydraulic.....but I have had a clutch cable snap before and it made for one interesting ride. Lolol

The bike was my 954, 39k and sold for $4,800 (bike was immaculate) and priced just under everyone else's asking price of $5000 at the time. You have to take pics that really highlight the bike, nice scenery, good weather, clean.....yano, things that make someone look at the bike and dream of...

Here's a little story for ya. I posted my bike for sale on kijiji with all the info and pics of the bike in my garage....little to no bites and the ad expired. Gave the bike a spit polish, took it outside and did some nice shots on grass during a gorgeous day...reposted the ad with minor...
