    No Longer Wave? GTA

Agreed. I waive, but as a response, less often initiating the exchange, and really only to save GTAM from threads like these. Only on out of town trips do I usually initiate as in the boonies the rider excganges get les frequent and it's nice to say hello...

    GTAM'er PA Check-in thread

Very late in the season, but perhaps still useful. If you are staying in PA and care to join other GTAM'ers for a beer or dinner, CHECK IN HERE. ----------- 2 of us are in St. Mary's tonight, finished ahead of schedule. If anyone is near-by and wants to grab dinner in-town PM...

Please sign my petition to allow straight pipes in Ontario for rider safety

Why is it that so many motorcycle riders forget their bike comes with a horn? I too was a fan of loud pipes until I realized how aggravating it was to have some hero with an exhaust cannon gunning it down a side-street waking my newborn in his crib. Since then I'm back to standard pipes, no...

    My trip to deals gap

20, 18, 16, 255 though WV is where it's at. Very well paved, marked and low traffic during weekdays. the roads are both technical and enjoyable scenery-wise.

    Over night trip suggestion

You can easily do a loop of Elicotville (219) Allegheny forest (666) then cut back West, stay in Renovo or St Mary's and next day head back ( first west 555 via to Renovo if you stayed in St.Mary's) up 11/144 to Ellicotville again) It's fantastic (relaxed-pace) ride. better than anything...

    Light Dirt Roads near Toronto

So I never made it to the above roads (maybe next week) but I did find enough mud to get stuck in, while in search of this trail (http://bike.stu.ph/rides/ride.php?ride=134). Actual route turned out to be converted to a pedestrian path, but offered a few dirt roads, private corn fields and ATV...

    Windows 7 vs Windows 8

A good chunk of business-class laptops now ship with a Win8 Downgrade License. What that means is that they are actually WIN8 machines, but have been 'downgraded' to WIN7 at the factory. Perhaps look at that as an option as if at any point you decide to move to WIN8, you can, very easy (with the...

    SOLO motorcycle tour [teaser]

If up there make sure to ride though Smugler's Notch (http://bit.ly/15zwaox) and also Picnic Corner on 17 (http://www.motorcycleroads.us/roads/vt17.html). both are cool for video/scenery and the latter is pretty awesome for the ride (up and down the mountain)...

    Light Dirt Roads near Toronto

Looking for recommendations for dirt roads or fire roads (not requiring permits) to test out my new Tiger. I'm new to dirt riding and don't exactly have a light bike to throw around so hoping for suggestions that are not too tight or overly technical, but beggers can't be choosers I suppose...

    Netbook vs Tablet

^ When in university I tossed one of these off my bike down Erin Mills Parkway in Mississauga at about 100km/h and it still worked and gave me another year of use... ...ah the memories.

    Netbook vs Tablet

Exactly. Having owned or demo-ed close to a 1/2 dozen netbooks (I work for a manufacturer) they are all fairly useless for anything you would expect to use a laptop for. For anything they are somewhat OK for, a tablet does better. While there is huge debate about whether to go iOS, Android...

    Scala comunicators any good ?

Most of complaints about insufficient volume w/ Scala (or other communicators) are usually due to poor speaker placement. I was utterly disappointed with mine as well until I played with where the speakers were placed in my helmet... After a second adjustment the speakers lined up with the ear...

Armored Shorts... Anyone using them under their gear? Recommendations?

I suppose above is better than nothing, but doubt it would offer any serious protection from road rash (for comparison padding on the Dainese is closer together and layered w/ abrasive-resistant plastic)... ...from my Windows phone via Tapatalk

Metzler z6 Interact vs Pilot Road 3?

Hi, has anyone used both tires (and scrubbed them sans-chicken strips, riding fairly aggressively in the twisties) that can offer feedback? Anyone using Z6's that can offer feedback? Had some expensive mechanical gremlins and having to do tires, valves, breaks etc at the same time trying to...

Armored Shorts... Anyone using them under their gear? Recommendations?

I use the Dainese mesh shorts w/ armor and shin/knee armor under jeans for any ride that will invokve anything more than a jaunt to work or the corner store... Very comfy and unlike compression shorts it provides great ventilation
