:D Had someone pull up to me quite a few times now, as long as you don't cause me to endanger myself I let it go. It isn't worth my time to get all riled up about, not that i won't call you a jerk in my helmet if you use me as a way to get ahead.

+1 yup... staggered doesn't always mean lead in block and the only other rider(2 rider scenario) on the right behind as it leaves that rider exposed. As you get more experience you will see that many of these "rules" are general guidelines meant to get you into good reflexive riding habits...

Welcome, in b'town as well. This city is not especially friendly to us riders, take care (blue Ninja 250). Popular meet spot is the timmies at Bovaird and Maclaughlin (north lot). Ride safe and see you on the road.

Since you are new to riding, best to follow a safe course. If you are leading keep your blocking position given the situation, the other rider will either pass in the other lane or if he's right behind you pull in staggered. If you are behind do the same, don't pull up beside them at a stop...

Good on you for stopping, someone stopped for me as well when I broke down and that also was amazing and heart warming to see that there are still those around willing to help a stranger.

Good decision, if you are already intimidated before even riding the bike then it wasn't a good idea to begin with. Ride a 250 until you're skills meet the cbr being schooled by the bike is not a good recipe in my opinion.
