Welcome. Great intro story. I could never drive, let alone ride, in some of those places where traffic seems to be pure chaos and it's probably best if you don't know the road safety statistics. That you survived must count for something :)
Good luck in your quest for a Duke 390. Be sure you...
Read the posts in sequential order. Heart was broken when I read the little guy died; holy emotional roller-coaster when I then read he's still alive. GWS little dude.
Someone, somewhere knows these people. Hopefully they're local and there's a chance of capture and prosecution.
My Tuono's manual calls for 96RON which is ~90AKI so I'm going to stick with premium for detonation resistance; I use Shell's 91 "V-Power" because it's advertised at the pump as having 0% ethanol.

...whatever else we can PVR from the retro channels.
60s and 70s kitschy schlock beats pretty much anything on the tube nowadays.
The equivalent of $400/mo would be too steep for me, especially considering the riding season is so short, the weather is always so ****** and the only roads we have around the GTA are straight. That you are asking suggests it's too much for you too.
There's a huge ecosystem of bikes out there...
Fair enough. To each his own.
There are Nissan Micra and Toyota Corolla drivers and there are Corvette and GT3 drivers. Some regard their vehicles with about as much passion as their kitchen appliances while others see them as trophies, status symbols etc.
Motorcycles have traditionally been...
Was going to say the same thing.
I'm not ashamed that when I don my Arai & Icon leathers and ride my gaudy, eye-catching Italian mistress at 5% of its capability on the street that, in addition to stunning performance and sound -- even at 5% -- I relish the lingering gazes, compliments at work...
After that 44Teeth episode and subsequent research I vowed to never visit the police state of Switzerland. No road or scenic views are worth the suffocating regulation that goes on there.
We have our own scenic views and wilderness here in Canada minus the "your papers, please" mentality of...
Just going to say that new riders need to be careful about group riding. Sometimes trying to keep up or focusing on the group and not basics (that will later become rote and/or muscle-memory) can lead to bad outcomes...
That's cool, but it doesn't alter the wording of the law nor the fact that you could get tagged for it.
One could probably defend themselves in court using the MTO's motorcycle handbook recommendation "Rise slightly on the footrests so that you can absorb the shock with your knees and elbows"...
That goes to the arbitrary nature of the enforcement. It's like going 120kph on the 401; sometimes you'll get dinged, other times not. Sometimes the cop is doing 120 or 125 -- in pursuit? racing to the scene of a crime? or just doing what everyone else does? -- and other times he's crawling at...
It was introduced in the wake of street racer activities having led to the deaths of innocent people. For actual racing or actual stunting I have no problem with it.
However, the malleable interpretation of "stunting" has led to a misapplication (IMHO) of the law against individuals. For...
FWIW, my wife's Mazda6 V6 makes this exact sound periodically. It's a known problem where the starter-drive hangs up momentarily and the sprag clutch is overdriven backwards. It's caused by clutch dust contaminating the drive making it sticky and slow to retract.
I think you're going to find...
If they're mucking about in the HTA already it wouldn't be hard for them to modify the verbiage of 172(3)(7) to read something like "Driving a motor vehicle at a rate of speed that is 50 kilometres per hour or more over the speed limit and/or at a rate of speed of 150 kilometers per hour or more."
Part of the problem is that everything on the outlay side is so expensive: a headlight for an average new car is like $1000+ so what used to be minor fender benders now cost many thousands to fix. Sadly, medical treatment and rehab are also not cheap, especially the long-term sort...
The other...
