"Sport Touring Ontario" and "VFR in GTA"

Ah ... The Doc & I are both in tech, one in hardware and one in software - go figure. On a side note, other than the portability of information, productivity on a "Smart-Phone" is weak at best.

"Sport Touring Ontario" and "VFR in GTA"

Well, some of us prefer to still communicate using a screen larger than the palm of your hand. I see the advantage of portability, but for many, it's still the norm. And what's with the Aboriginal insensitivity :)

    Random Kijiji Seller

Sometimes, but it's what we have and really, the exposure to market is pretty incredible considering it essentially cost ZERO!

    Cruisers and sport bikes

Well Wingboy, it's posts like this that make confirm why I like my cruiser - get the speed and danger thing out of the way! I don't know if gap riders like this realize how nice the scenery is! I know to each their own, but the scraping sound gives me the willies. :)

Help! - Recommendations for Back Protectors

Not sure what this means, sarcastic or not. I picked up an Icon Field Armor vest a few years ago. I picked up for cold weather riding as figured out if I was wearing a vest under my leather jacket, why not go with some protection. It is warm so if you are thinking full-on summer, you'll be...

    Cruisers and sport bikes

Yes we've gotten a little off-track again, but I disagree Doc with the automatic viewpoint. I drive standard cars so figure that one out. So back to cruisers & sport bikes ... The comment about "Infecting the heard" was funny. There are all types out there so don't believe we are all painted...

Need help with 2006 Yamaha vmax 1200

Piece of cake but don't know how accessible the carbs are on the Max. However, the scary part of having a float stuck is whether you get either a fuel lock or more importantly, getting fuel seeping into the crank ... not good! Ask him to make sure the oil looks good, the level hasn't magically...

    2015 Yamaha FZ-07 announced

These all look fine, but does anyone actually use these to pound any serious miles. I can only image riding one down to the dragon. By the time you're there you'd be too exhausted to have any fun. Give me a fairing anyday! and yes Doc, I saw that fugly Dragonheart thingy you want to put on your...

    New vs Used Debate

As a shared owner of a ZZR250 I kinda know where you are coming from. However, no issue with cruising the bike even at 140. Also if you think it's slow getting there, you should compare times to any modest car - you'd be surprise how "not slow" your 250 is. But hey, if you wants a new ride, by...

    Cruisers and sport bikes

And to those though who complain about peg scraping, grab some rocket technique and don't drop the bike under you, either keep you weight neutral or even shift your weight into the corner while keeping the bike more upright. Makes a huge difference and is safer.

    Cruisers and sport bikes

I decided to blow the insurance budget this year and go with 2 bikes. VFR for me (my favourite bike up to this point as an all-rounder) and the cruiser for pack riding or riding with the missus. I tried and tried to get a sport-touring bike that she wouldn't be sliding into me every time I...

    Do Hondas burn oil?

Actually owned 2 honda cars (CRX & Civic) and 8 bikes - never an issue. The Honda acronym for "Had one never do again" certainly doesn't apply here!

Hello! Advise needed and riding friends!

In Toronto here. $500.00 more but the model was updated in 09 which for me is more pleasing to the eye. Kawi also changed the fuel mapping and cut down on a bit of the vibration (rear rubber engine mount, and rubber mounted handlebar)...

    Cruisers and sport bikes

A little off topic but it's all good up to 110km/hr; then give me lean & a fairing. I had a v-max a while back. Great bike. Everything everyone stated what the handling was questionable. For me, any highway romps and I was a sail in the wind (damn I miss that bike though).

Know up front though that if your bike is not legit, it will be confiscated and you'll be reimbursed absolutely squat - nice eh?
