I drive my bolt exclusively in one-pedal mode. It makes the car behave more like a manual transmission car. It's more fun to drive it that way. Turning it on or off is very easy, just push a button. I doesn't take much of an adjustment to get used to it. For my 2019 Bolt, I do have to push...
I love my tiger 800XC. I've only ever had 2 things go wrong in 11 years. But you do need to consider that getting parts can be a pain. Both times something went wrong I lost a month of prime riding time waiting on parts that needed to be shipped from overseas.
I've lived with a Bolt (2019) and an Odyssey (2016) for the past 5.5 years. It's nice to have the Odyssey when we go camping or to save on delivery fees from appliance purchases, but the rest of the time my wife and I fight over who gets to drive the Bolt. The Bolt is so much fun to drive...
Just got off the phone with TD. It seems that their system didn't transfer motorcycle license info over to the new year. So all renewals went out treating existing customers as riders without a motorcycle license. Once my license was put back into the system my rate went back down to where it...
Just got my insurance renewal from TD, formerly MM. An increase of over $1000. They obviously don't want my business. I have 2 cars and house insurance with them as well. Not cool TD, not cool. No changes in my status over the past year.
So it has very little range and won't charge any faster than other electric cars that have been on the market for years. No thanks, I'll stick with my Bolt and it's 400km real world range. Very dissapointing effort from Honda. Yet another electric that will amplify range anxiety in the...
The fact is hydrogen is the smallest element in the universe. It's not a matter of will it leak, it's at matter of when will it leak. If hydrogen refuelling stations are required to be as ubiquitous as gasoline stations, I personally wouldn't want to be living anywhere near one.
I found Queensway (formerly Lakeshore) Honda sales staff to be difficult to work with. I also live in south Etobicoke. I ended up buying from Parkway Honda. Give Frank D'Aprile a call, he's a high volume dealer who can give you the best deal in the city. No one could touch the price he gave...
I'm a pretty normal guy. I look around at my neighbours and I don't think my circumstances are particularly unique. EV's make a lot of sense for me. I live 30km from work. I regularly go to visit people in Hamilton/Kitchener/Markham/Guelph etc. I can get to my cottage near Cloyne on a...
Not for everyone, but I think it will work for a whole heck of a lot more than 2% of the new cars on the road! More buy in = more innovation = lower charging times/higher mileage/more highway charging stations
As a Bolt owner, I find it amusing that others refuse to even consider an electric vehicle until there are the same number of charging stations as gas stations. I've owned the Bolt for 5 months now and I haven't used a public charging station once. I only charge the car to 85%. Work has...
The chief engineer at Chevy for the Camaro has been reassigned to the EV department. Should be interesting!

I had a 2004 wrx that I sold in its 13th year. Aside from regular maintenance, the only repair I ever needed to have done was one ignition coil that delaminated 10 years in. For a car that was driven hard, it was super reliable!
