I just got home a bit ago. Doing highway speeds is indeed a wee bit brisk. Can't wait for my thermal glove liners and pinlock visor to get here!

just to be clear there, individual leaves aren't the issue, it's rafts of leaves that are the real issue, they are slick as hell.

Just don't touch it with bare hands. a piece of wet newspaper or paper towel works good for this, don't burn yourself.

The 300 does highway speeds just fine, though a bit high on the revs in 6th gear (people swap a +1 tooth front sprocket on to get the revs down a bit to fix this). Though if you plan on doing a lot of highway riding, like every day, you might find it a bit small.
