I agree to an extent. Think about if I'm going to squid anyway. If I lowsided my bike going 35km/h on a turn, it'd definitely help. Though probably I wouldn't pay the likely exorbitantly high price for such minimal protection. Still interesting though.

how old is the fluid in your lines? If it were me, I'd erase any doubt and replace the fluid/bleed the brakes. Last thing you want are your brakes to fail.
