What a waste of a read. Original poster prolly can’t afford the insirance on the super sport so is finding unusual excuses to not look cheap.
if only I could get back the minutes I wasted reading this nonsense...
The most simple solution is to slam a screw driver through the filter and twist away....don't be afraid of damaging the filter, as it's going in the garbage anyways.
OP is in the right. Person pulling out was wrong. Good thing you were in a car. Her insurance will cover all damages...and hopefully they rob her on her insurance renewal for being such a bad driver.
It's not a marketing strategy. It's rather simple business logic. Better for shareholders...higher margins, and bottom line will look much better at reporting.

Don't do kahuna either. They charged me for valves on my first 1000km and finished all the work on my bike in less than half an hour (I.e.when I had a 250)
obviously I got ripped off... Charging me for something they didn't do. Don't go to kahuna, they will rip you off.
don't know the full story, as there's always 2 sides to a story and actual fact.
let it go through insurance.... the motorcyclist obviously wants money out of this... i'm sure the appraiser will pick up on the bull that the motorcyclist is trying to palm off...
Good job on passing.
a more simple way to pass is just remember to obey all rules of the road....I passed on the first shot and didn't bother doing all that useless stuff like checking the web, practicing the route, listening to engine, etc.
Just took it yesterday at keele and sheppard.
They give you a reusable ear piece (the girl that gave it to me said she cleaned it)...and I don't have an infection as yet (knock on wood). this ear piece is not one that you put IN the ear, its the ear bud type.
if you have a problem hearing...
