I don't believe they should as tires are a regular wear/tire item. I can see many new owners coming in with dry chains and worn sprockets wanting warranty coverage. But I'm surprised the dealer didn't offer some sort of discount on the new tire.

Only thing worth while selling apart would be the pipe (and the tidy tail if it causes the bike to fail safety). How'd that stuff add up to $2000?

Does your textile jacket have armor? Wear dark colours. It hides the sweat.

Do you have any issues with how the power is delivered at any point in the powerband? Do you need 0.4% more horsepower over 28% of the powerband? Is your stock map A:F totally out of wack? Price of a PC can get you some decent tires. Or track time. Or an hour-long lap dance.

If it's not based on a production bike, you're going to have a hell of a time with the MTO/insurance. If you want to learn and have it via a kit with instructions.. check out any of the ones available that turn old japanese standards and cruisers into 'cafe'-esque or 'bobber'-esque thingies.
