    Front wheel braking

^^ read it, understand it, practice it. How much front you can use will depend on how smooth you are. If you are smooth as Lorenzo, you can use a TON of front. If you are hamfisted, not so much

The One Thing Im Having Trouble with

I think that you should check again, I have been riding for 20 years and every single bike I had been on will slide into neutral from 2nd. You just give the shifter ½ a shift down. I would actually think that the gearbox had problems if it couldn’t go from 2nd to neutral.

The One Thing Im Having Trouble with

Agreed 100% The guy from the original post has nothing to be ashamed of, he just started. Downshifting to a stoplight is pretty basic, but good for him for asking what he is doing wrong. In my earlier post (#7) I wasn’t joking about parking the bike until the original poster finishes/passes a...

    Exhaust on ER6n

I had an egg thrown at me on devil's night about 20 years ago and some of the egg hit my exhaust, I was never able to get it 100% removed. It stained the metal in the pipe Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

The One Thing Im Having Trouble with

I am assuming that you have not taken a motorcycle training program. You need to take a motorcycle training course, try one of the schools listed here: http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/dandv/driver/gradu/motocourse.shtml Park your bike and don't ride it again until you have passed the course...

    Riding in Italy!

A few years ago I drove from Switzerland to Monaco via Milan and driving on the highway was terrible. The Italians drive just as fast as the Germans but without the discipline or skill. You will need to keep your head on a swivel for sure. You feel safe driving at 200 km/h in Germany because the...

    Ariel Ace

A little too expensive for most of us who are not independently wealthy but £20000 for a super low volume bespoke built bike is pretty reasonable I think.

    Am I doing it right?

My 2 cents: looks pretty good, sliding back in the seat and getting your chest closer to the tank would help. Spend $30 and get some of the best advice/tips available...

    basic motogp question

Kawasaki IS STILL in MotoGP, kind of…. After they withdrew the full factory team they did/do offer limited factory support to the Avinta & Hayate teams. Suzuki will be back next year. They have developed a bike and are testing it now. Both Kawasaki and Suzuki were about as competitive as Ducati...

Racing a Ducati 749 in SOAR

@ Yellow Duck: That’s more or less what I had assumed. Good for Rookie 600, MAYBE 600 novice (if I can muster my inner Marquez) BOTT LW and Lost era but unfortunately be a very expensive PYLON in superbike. I am working overseas for the next 12-24 months so by the time I get back home the 749...

Racing a Ducati 749 in SOAR

I am planning to start racing and am considering buying a Ducati 749s to race in SOAR as it seems that the 749 is eligible for just about every racing class (Superbike, 600, BOTT, Lost era). I am not expecting to be the fastest guy out there in every race/class and I realize that a fast racer...
