No, at MTO you pay the higher between your declared price and their wholesale price, i think its RST or something. So unless their wholesale price is that low and i put my declared UNDER it, i wont be paying that much.
Ive renegotiated the selling price with him a little to account for this tax crap. If there was a way to find out the wholesale value as per the MTO, so i know how much i am losing that would be nice. 08 cbr 15.5km light mods no damage for roughly 5.2G
Does the dealership only need insurance in the case of a finance? What if i buy the bike outright cash money, do they still need insurance to transfer ownership? What if i dont want to insure it until spring time and tow it home? What if im buying it as a track bike?
Does insurance cover theft for the amount you write down on the MTO bill of sale? so if it does get stolen or destroyed they will only pay you out what you wrote. is this correct?
Yes that is what im starting to realize. I guess there is no way to renegotiate the selling price so I pay less because then he will also pay MORE on the taxes of his new purchase.

would temp plates from MTO allow me to ride it back from his house legally? also they cost anything and do i need to provide the vin or uvip or anything?
Looking to maybe grab a bike today. Need quick answers please.
What are my options in getting it home aside from getting a tow if i do not have my own insurance.
Could i ride it under the current owners insurance?
are there temporary plates available that i could get for cheap?
i might be...
This is what I was looking for. thank you

Yes driving would be less of a stress as opposed to walking around, call me crazy but I feel most comfortable in my car.
I do not want to get into a debate, I would just like some quick advice as per my questions in the OP.
thank you.
