Need advice on "Pass on Right - Not in safety" Offence

Well, it sounds to me like you're clearly in the right here. Get a lawyer or paralegal and fight this. It also sounds like you should be claiming damages to your bike through your insurance which would then get it from the insurance company of the person whose door hit you. The only advice that...

How many KM is too much?

This sort of detail would definitely boost the confidence in someone interested in your bike.

Then unfortunately those people are going to bad dealerships.

How many KM is too much?

And that's exactly the issue. You say you did the work but how can I verify it? So you'll save money by doing the work yourself but possibly lose out on buyers due to lack of records. Even something like a log book or spreadsheet detailing the date and type of service you did yourself would be...

How many KM is too much?

Exactly. An old bike should have lots of km on it. As long as the seller has maintenance records then that should be fine. Now, at 50K and up you can start to expect to replace some parts but the bike should be cheaper than a bike with 20K or less, anyway. Those older SS bikes with under 20K on...

    Scouting West Virginia

I rode through WV last June on the way and back from Florida. Brilliant, brilliant riding. I specifically remember the 219, Blue Ridge Pkwy, and Monongahela Forest. All great riding. Eery though not really seeing anyone else out on the roads. And a little bit lonely, too. But still, fantastic...

    The Childfree Movement

I've noticed a lot of discussion in this thread about an incoming culture replacing the dominant culture. However, I don't really see the problem with this. From what I've seen, immigrants here (well, their children) tend to embrace Canadian beliefs and values rather the beliefs and values of...

    more dangerous riding

Wow, totally squirrelly every time he leaned. Slicks or just crappy old tires?

    Air conditioning for a motorcycle?!!?

I just dump half a water bottle into my jacket, soaking my t-shirt, every hour. Plus I've got a mesh jacket. Even in 30 degree heat it feels really cold at speed.

Driving a car in bare feet

I found that driving barefoot gave me less control. Because you don't always hit your foot on the petal in the exact same place, I found that I'd have to compensate slightly. Whereas in any shoes you just press down and the shoe hits the petal in the same place.

New rider, will attempt the impossible...

What documents? Maybe you should just explain your situation so that people are not commenting on speculation.

New rider, will attempt the impossible...

Just to confirm: you had a foreign license and they're giving you credit for it? If so, that's not a loophole, that's specifically allowed by the MTO.

Giving up street riding, track only. Ever done it?

I've been giving this additional thought over the past couple of days. Basically, for those of us who like to hit corners really quickly it doesn't make sense to do it on the street. When you're exiting a corner at speeds that will lose your license it's time to track it. It's just not...

    Motorcycle Maintenance Course

For BMW owners, Budd's offers these basic maintenance courses for free. Last ones were evenings in the spring (one evening oer type of bike) and went over chain maintenance, battery, winterization, oil and filter changes, and more. Nothing you couldn't learn on YouTube but seeing it done...

Giving up street riding, track only. Ever done it?

I don't think I'll get my knee down on the street. Plus I pay over $2000/yr for my F800R. Plus I'd like to keep my license. I considered an SS instead of the F800R but that'd just get me into even more trouble. Thinking of doing the Racer track days next year and maybe selling the...

This is Why our Isurance is so high - another idiot on the road.

Haha, very funny post. My opinion (since there aren't enough already): car was stupid but rider should've moved on and not been a dick.

I'd say this is the most coherent and well thought out post in the thread.

Cdn Credit card to pay for US fuel that requires ZIP code.

I even called MasterCard and had them change my postal code to 90210; this didn't work. Knowing that would've saved probably a combined couple of hours of not having to go in to pay. Much thanks.

    Funeral Convoy: What to do?

That sounds like the procession that I got stuck behind (and turned to avoid it). Each cruiser would slam the gas (I could hear the engine even through my helmet and earplugs), accelerate to way faster than the limit, then quickly slow down near the beginning and wave the procession by, then...
