Was up in Wasaga with the family (and my riding buddy's family) in our cages on Saturday....came across a group ride of maybe 15-20 sportbikes (yes....some wearing the ironic "douchevests"). I have to admit, I don't understand the group "rev-out" while they trolled along the beach road in front...
I guess what it boils down to is the fact that it's virtually impossible to design a glove to fit all hand shapes/types. For me, I couldn't imagine there would be a more comfortable, better-fitting glove than the VR-Pro.
I started riding just shy of my 55th birthday. I've had a life-long interest in bikes, racing, sports cars, etc., but delayed getting a bike for a variety of reasons. First and foremost, when I lived with my parents there was an absolute prohibition....and years afterward, their negative opinion...
Hi Paul and welcome. I've been to York, since my brother-in-law lives there....lovely town. Nice to see the Minstermen back in the league this year. I should be over in Sept/Oct to Sunderland for my annual football weekend. I ride a 2011 GSX-R750.
I remember reading this thread last winter and thinking....."Wow, these guys have sure been through a lot of ####....I hope it never happens to me. I'm not sure how I would react". Well....I got to find out 4 weeks ago. A regrettable situation found me unable to avoid my friend's...
Ditto.....and this includes riding buddies. Expect the unexpected. I had a spill 4 weeks ago when my buddy who was leading inexplicably decided to stop dead in his tracks with me close behind him (admittedly too close). Couldn't avoid him....clipped his rear fender and went down, resulting in a...
2011 GSX-R750 with factory coolant fill.....on a cooler day will run 78-82C on a cruise. On a warm day it will run 82-86C on a cruise.....in stop and go city traffic will max out at 105C where the fan kicks in.
I may be a little biased as the owner of a 2011 GSX-R750, but I can't think of a more capable street/track bike for the dollar. I went on a 7 hour tour past Bobcaygeon last Saturday and my 55-year-old bones lived to talk about it.
That said, what would you think a target lap time might be with one of the better bikes, and an equally (or better) skilled rider, plus no traffic......a 6:50 or 6:45? All bench racing of course. Bikes haven't had it easy putting in good laps at the 'Ring in recent years.
Really? What would separate one modified litre bike from another? Modifications primarily focused on suspension/weight/tires. Short of a MotoGP bike with 250 hp, I would think most modded production litre bikes would be close. Would a modded S1000RR or Tricolore be any further ahead? What would...
Interesting......I purchased a can of Multi-Use last July, and the labelling doesn't show "Dry, Wax Lubricant" (the original formula). The formulation wasn't supposed to have changed until October 2011, according to the webbikeworld.com article. I wonder if it's a case of Canadian labelling...
A* produce a wide range of models.....I would probably agree with you on some of their lower-end stuff, but their top-end stuff compares favourably with Dainese/RS Taichi, etc.
I get the impression that you're looking for a sport riding jacket, and if so, then A* and Dainese would be at the top of the pile. If you were looking for a cruiser jacket, then more options would open up for you. When I bought my jacket last year, I was tossing around the idea of Joe Rocket...
