It's been like that here in KW for many years. My late wife (banker) showed me her filing cabinet with 4 drawers. Top drawer was labelled A thru V. Bottom 3 drawers were labelled W X Y Z.
Yup. I could drive (legally), Moon landing, Woodstock, mini skirts, gogo boots, muscle Cars. Ya some nasty stuff was happening, but there was a lot of good stuff too.
My thoughts, tourer vs adv.
My Goldwing 1800 wasn't actually that good at eating up the miles. Forward footpegs meant all your weight is on your spine. Bars are too far back to allow standing on the pegs.
My 1200 Tenere was actually a better tourer due to better ergos.I added Yamaha wind...
All apart. The inner on the stem was easy. The lower outer race was a beast. Had to cut notches above it with the Dremel and then heat. Waiting for F9 now. This is much more fun than politics and National Enquirer crap.
Equipment and crew were expendable during wartime. Ductape? I jump out of some very old aircraft, but damage like that would ground the aircraft until an engineer spent a bunch of time on it.
It was restored about 10 years ago.Fluids changed yearly.Fork wipers are 49 years old.New ones coming.Head bearings are 49 also with 10 year old grease.Chain will be new.Sprockets are 10 years old.
I can go to my local Yamaha dealer and buy piston, main seals, crank, brake shoes etc etc.
TY inspection went well. Fresh fluids, new chain and a black seat cover too bring it back to oem will keep my daughter very happy. Might need new head bearings.
