Don't assume. Here's the wiki on the subject: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tacit_assumption The information commissioner faulted a government department for failing to come up with info on emails the first time around. The same department came forward on their own later to point out they in...

Yup, Rob is known for his supreme leadership and governing ability, for sure. Even without ever understanding anything he was doing he still managed to outperform all those other elite blowhards who actually built stuff and helped grow a thriving city. Bumbaclot Rob is how we should honour him...

She signed the directive, approved the payouts, and was reprimanded by the privacy commissioner? Yikes. If you have information that no one else has you should share it. Reporters would line up in a flash for that kind of dirt. Re: union payouts. Yikes (x3) - You said she "bought the last...

Sure, everyone wants him to succeed. If nothing else that would mean he's doing more good than harm. And then there's reality: https://twitter.com/JohnFilion23/status/1005162942961242117

Because it's timely, topical, and probably informative to some. I haven't seen anyone else give the same perspective on this outcome.

Yep. It's fascinating that just as Wynne cleans up the worst of the Liberals habits of self-serving insider deals and swapping values to get more votes, she gets booted. Plus, handing over the reigns to a known drug dealer and vote buyer sends a very clear message to Liberals and politicians...

Probably. I mean, it suits your anger towards her so you know... probably. After all, everyone knows co-chairs of election campaigns pretty much have all the policy power. Also, everyone knows 2011 was the last provincial election.

Yeah, pretty gawdawful results https://www.ontario.ca/page/labour-market-report-march-2018 Taking on the hydro debt, ending billion dollar boondoggles, investing in sorely needed infrastructure. These are terrible results. I guess the problem is these things weren't free. Good luck getting any...

Not sure which Wynne or which election you're talking about. The gas plants were cancelled in 2011. That wasn't the last election, and that wasn't Wynne. Paying the teacher unions for their bargaining costs was in 2015, so that didn't help her in the last election and obviously not in this one...

Distracted driver hits Toronto actor, appears to drive away from scene while on phone

There are way more dashcams and helmet cams than breathalyzers now. They're not always able to capture the offense but often enough they can. It's also easier to set up cameras in an enforcement blitz than a checkpoint for drunks. What's missing are the harsh penalties.

Distracted driver hits Toronto actor, appears to drive away from scene while on phone

The stigma exists already. It's not as powerful as the druk driving stigma but it's there. But the stigma alone isn't enough. People have a tendency to rationalize their own behaviour as just and moral when it is exactly the same behaviour they criticise in others. It was true for drinking and...

    Rob's wife sues Doug

Innocent until proven guilty has never been a social standard, it's a legal standard, and even then only in Western countries. People can, will, and should judge for themselves based on the circumstances and the information available. In this case the story fits everything we already assume...

They all run in the same circles. Lawyers, bankers, politicians. Brown's sister is completely immaterial to the question of the lawsuit's legitimacy.

    Rob's wife sues Doug

Ideally, but it's possible Doug was withholding some info that they could have used to determine her legitimate entitlements. There was something I read about Doug failing to produce info that he had promised years ago. Sooooo many unknowns.

    Rob's wife sues Doug

Ah that could explain it too, but then she'd have no grounds for a lawsuit.

    Rob's wife sues Doug

Okay but that's not the same. It sounds like Doug would have had to have Renata disqualified legally from her direct inheritance. I imagine that might have removed her kids from her care though, which maybe Doug wanted to avoid. Or maybe he just wanted her money. As always, so many...

Patrick Brown + Renata Ford seek revenge on Doug Ford and the PCs

Gotta love spin doctoring. Hey, is it also a silly coincidence a Hedge Fund tied to Caroline Mulroney has managed to silence the Conservative party's criticism of Liberals over Casino licenses...
