Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

So my sis is in the market to replace her Escape, I'm going to give her the run down on the Volt in case she's unaware like most people. In researching I found a 2017 model here (she's in QC)...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Love to see you avoid everthing that's taxpayer supported because you're such a strong, self-sufficient man who pays for everything out of his own pocket and will never 'leech' or 'mooch' off of systems or services that everyone pays for but are there for your benefit.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Neither was 'expecting' it, they both bought the car despite not having an outlet at work. It was a 'nice to have' type of thing.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Name one that expected their employer to give them free electricity. As for the $14,000 nobody asked, it was offered. Would you turn it down?

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Plenty of people have mentioned their electricity usage. It's never enough to eliminate the gas savings. If you can find a fuel efficient bike that might meet a rider's requirements feel free to let us all know. The point is that the Volt owners don't have to sacrifice anything from what they'd...

    Change Genders for affordable insurance

Holy facepalm! I went to buy OJ the other day and someone grabbed the last one just before I got to the shelf. She looked like a Filipina, I mean there was more than zero chance she wasn't born in Canada so of course I righteously flipped out on her. What else was I supposed to do, not drink OJ...

    Change Genders for affordable insurance

Used to be the right thought all gays were pedophiles. Now it seems that's not an issue any more we only have to worry about the straight ones. Sorry for the thread hijack, back to our regularly scheduled 'Liberals are nuts' programming.

    what would you build?

That sounds like they could be a hit in the market. Just make them 450cc, exactly 3/4 of a 600 for parts commonality. Both an agile, docile commuter at low rpm and a peaky high rpm tossable corner carver for the off hours. The name wouldn't impact insurance, if that's what you're thinking. If...

Not just motorcycle riders are in danger of cagers / idiots

It's hilarious that you should mention those two countries as examples. In Columbia, Medellin has been a model for urban development around the world. http://cities-today.com/medellin-wins-world-city-prize/ The city took steps in the 2000s to redevelop itself around sound urban planning...

Thinking of buying a small car

Aerio is more than 10 years old. Those things should be almost free, and probably not worth it. My folks shopped for one waaaay back when and basically described it as a tin can, got a Civic instead. Did you mean the SX4? It could be nice if optioned out right. My sis had one, but sold it due...

    Helmet laws in Ontaro

I thought this made a lot of sense at first, but on second thought there's no way any manufacturer ever said if their helmet has something attached in any way, of any size or shape, in any location, they certify it will pass the crash test as long as the attached thing is no more than 5 mm tall...

I know with Apple you can backup the whole device to iCloud, then wipe it to cross the border and restore it again once you're on the other side. Is there something equivalent for Android?

Council on notice for having bad policies?

Actually 251 passengers can sit not moving while stuck behind someone, for the new quadruple articulated streetcars. But of course the problem isn't the 251 passengers. it's the someone. A few more not so obvious reasons streetcars are preferable to buses: For one, they draw more ridership...

Council on notice for having bad policies?

Yes, crush load is the term used to compare maximum capacity. They didn't call it that for the bus site probably to avoid confusing their non-technical target audience. I doubt it's anything else. Regardless, a small streetcar can fit way more people than a large bus.

Council on notice for having bad policies?

They're more efficient in that they cost less to operate and maintain than buses. The biggest savings is that one driver can move 132 passengers in the smallest streetcar, while the same driver could only move 77 in the largest bus. Plus, because the streetcar runs on rails it's much easier to...

    American boycott

Yup, there's no soft exit from the Trump debacle. He could go live on air and read out a suicide note and shoot himself in the head and his base would call it a liberal conspiracy and take up arms. I'm having a hard time imagining any scenario that doesn't end in another civil war, even if...
