MEC Darwin 2 Backpack.
Bar none best backpack I've ever owned. Had it for 5 years now still looks really good!
I use it on the bike all the time, I've also travelled all over with it.
I love that backpack like a child!
Good stuff everyone, this is exactly what I was looking for!
A lot of the things you have talked about, are things that I've already incorporated into the course.
I've read a couple of race books and watched twist of the wrist etc. I really try and give students techniques that will transfer...
Hey everyone,
So what were some things that you wished you had learned while taking the m1 exit course (the one that gets you your m2 in thr envelope, parking lot only etc etc)?
We teach basics, but ive been curious as to what tidbits riders would have enjoyed learning from the start.
As a...
My old italian neighbours take the labels off of 2L plastic powitp bottles and fill them with water.
According to them at night the cat sees the light reflect off the bottles and they get startled and leave.
They say it works wonders...
The vibrations are pretty intense. Thought the bike was at red line when in reality it was only half way there.
Had a buddy told me when he was younger he used to have to tape his keys in the ignition so they didn't fly out.
Can't comment on the hardtail portion as I never took it out of the...
I learned to trail brake. Thought I was doing it right (would use it to put weight on front tire for a quick turn in then get off the brakes).
I never used to mix braking and throttle in my trail braking!
The whole concept of not upsetting your suspension has really been engrained into my...
I find lefts difficult due to me not being able to fully relax my right arm because it has to control braking/throttle.
On rights my right hand is on the inside and initiating the turn thus I find it easier (I can relax my left arm a lot easier)...
in racing everyone prefers turning to the left.
Ever see the southpark episode about nascar...
Go straight... And... Turn to the left

Hey everyone,
Bike is a 2007 suzuki sv1000s.
So im on the 401 and notice my low fuel light is on. Thing is i just filled up my tank at a busy gas station. Bike then starts to lose power like im running out of gas. I pull over and check the tank. Its full of gas...
I turn the key off then on...
Course was awesome. Level 2 exceeded my expectations in every way it could.
Thought I was a wicked rider after level 1, wasn't.
Thought I knew how to quickshift, didn't
Thought I knew how to downshift, didn't.
Thought I consistently trail braked into turns, didn't.
It is something else to have...
Only issue I have with them is that most seams are stitched on the outside. Especially the fingers. The feel the outside seams has is incredible but are outside seams not considerably more vulnerable than inside?
Overall though i agree amazing glove. Really tight at the start but im breaking...
I agree that yes we practise basic riding as we actually ride on the street. But one could argue that the parameters are much more forgiving.
For instance the road is pretty wide and within corners or even straights we can use the whole road. Why would someone try and stay in a 2 foot portion...
