Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

I think they kinda get disarmed a bit when they realize the guy they've stopped turns out to be some old fart and not some youngster hoodlum..

Law Enforcement - The Good, The Bad, The Ugly.....

Wanna mess with the police... When they try to pull you over... Pull over. I've only been stopped 4 times in my life on a bike. I swear the first time the guy walks up and the first thing outta his mouth was "why'd you stop.?" The best one was getting stopped in Alberta doing 157 in an 80 or...

    Dealers and Trust

I look at it this way... dealership techs are employees. They have little to no stake in the satisfaction of customers at large. Good independent, community shops rely more on their reputation. My local shop has a girl tech... I'm no chauvanist, but I'll admit... It's kinda weird being told...

I bet you used a paper map too to find your way around... Gawd... I remember my first long bike trip. 1992(?). Burlington to Ft. Lauderdale Florida. Once unfolded I never could refold that map properly again.

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

3 Rounds is the limit for "hunting" with a semi auto shotgun. In Ontario anyway. The legal limit for any centre fire semi auto is 5. I mention 7, cuz 7 2.75" shells will legally fit into a shotgun that has a 3" chamber. Maybe Carney thinks semi shottys are in need of a ban because... Doing the...

We Know you Ride, But do you Shoot?

You're confusing hunting regulations with the law on mag capacity. Going by SAAMI specs. you can easily load 7 rounds into a legal five round tube fed semi auto shotgun that has a 3" chamber. 'Common with the IPSC shotgun crowd. 7 in the mag, 1 on the lifter, 1 in the chamber. Total starting...

    After 22years 😬 🏍️

In 2008 I bought a new Gsf1250 "Bandit" at the age of 42. I hadn't been insured on a bike since 1993(?) Premium was around $1500. At renewal it went down about 40% and has hovered around there since. Currently on a FJR1300.

Man scammed by a fake certified cheque, lost polaris slingshot

Scammers gonna scam. Years ago... one of my school mates dad was an accomplished, uh i mean "convicted" fraudster. We were in his basement one day and saw he had an actual cheque making machine Lol. He could make "real" certified cheques, bank drafts as the bank... Where there's a will there's a way

    After 22years 😬 🏍️

I had a 17 year hiatus.. You will not regret it. 'First year insurance will feel like a kick in the ball sack, but after that... It's all gravy.

Duty Free Store and Canada Custom

Sure, but you might have to pay duty as they'll see it as no different than you buying it in Japan... IIRC you can't even get to the duty free at YVR when catching a connecting flight.

Duty Free Store and Canada Custom

Unless im misunderstanding your post... You can only buy duty free leaving the country... You can't land ay YVR, access the duty free and then continue on to Toronto.

Metrolinx FYI for CAF & Vets

True ! Lol. It does save lot of money though... my last trip flying to Kelowna it would have been $100 extra each way for our luggage. That gave Mrs. Gaoler an extra $200 to spend on Okanagan wine.

Metrolinx FYI for CAF & Vets

Oh... on a related note. Air Canada and West Jet waive baggage fees for CAF members and vets. Just check your bags at the counter... Present appropriate ID and they'll tag your bag and away it goes. *other airlines may have the same policy, but I've only ever flown AC and WJ...

Metrolinx FYI for CAF & Vets

In case if any members or vets aren't aware... This could translate into significant savings if you're a regular commuter... Those of us who only use the GO once in awhile can use the money we save to buy some street meat...

    here we go again...

Camping "sounds" nice, but it's a lot of work after a long day in the saddle. I'll do it for the novelty, but if the weather looks like it's going to be wet... F*** it I'm on my phone booking a room somewhere.
