Every Tesla I've quoted for insurance is $80-100/month more than any other vehicle I've quoted (Maverick, GTI, Bolt, Volt, Equinox).

I'd say this is also one of those repairs that any competent mechanic / DIY'er can do considering that it's strictly mechanical, and not much electrical / programming that needs to be touched.

Many hybrids won't allow the car to function in ICE mode only if the batteries die. They're just set up in a way that won't allow it.

Thanks! Yes that bench is sketchy as F. Was built many years ago before kids were on the horizon. We find it super tight when we’re all there and want additional space. In all honesty removing that and replacing it with a proper railing would give at least 1-2 ft.

Looking to extend a deck at the cottage about 2-4ft so it still stays under the roof. Thoughts on best / quickest approach? I don’t want to tear the whole thing down as it supports a roof to prevent rain / snow coming down.

Riding on the 401 to/from work literally killed the joy of riding for me. I sold my bike after that, and in 10 years since I commuted exactly 1 day to/from work on the 401. Never again.

Well said. I'm tossing around the idea of just buying a scrap / project bike to tinker with in the meantime. Nothing overly complicated. Just something to keep in the garage and muck around with when I find some time.

Mrs MP has a VERY different idea on this item...trust me it has been brought up multiple times. I want to buy them a small electric dirt bike / ATV for the cottage...that can be a pathway forward.

I am not a fan of the bare bones interior. The Mach-E / Equinox are still top of list for an EV if I can convince my wife that she doesn't need a minivan for 90% of her driving...maybe I should give her the Maverick and I'll buy the EV LOL. In other news...another step closer for Ford EV...
