    2004 Yamaha fz6 - throttle issue

Not that simple. I am pretty sure the footpeg brackets are operating as designed, which means there's no point replacing them. Any news on why your throttle blades aren't fully returning to idle position? Has to be a mechanical obstruction.

    2004 Yamaha fz6 - throttle issue

Shut isn't shut all the way. In the rest (idling) position, the gap between the throttle and the inside of the throttle body should be next to nothing, and it's way too much. See 38 - 45ish and 58 seconds into the video. The next challenge is to find out why the throttles aren't closing all the...

    Stocks

The banks all have attached brokerage divisions. Mine is with TD, and I'm happy with the way theirs works. First place to ask is where you usually bank ... ask to set up a brokerage account there, and see how you like it. The advantage of doing it this way, is that it should interface as...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Hmm that's a good idea. The 62TE in my van is at 120 000 km on its supposedly lifetime fill. No dipstick, no drain plug. I should see how much I can suck out from the top.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

CHAdeMO is not physical-adapter-compatible with either CCS or NACS (which uses CCS communication protocol). Owners of vehicles with CHAdeMO are plugging in at home, and using existing fast-charging stations that have that connector, just like they've always done, and that's what they'll have to...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Tesla cars aren't particularly out of whack relative to the weight of modern CUVs and SUVs. My driveway has 4 sunken spots where the tires of my van have to be in order for me to sneak bikes in and out of the garage. Because it is always in the same spot (and because the driveway was put in by...

What to expect when attending CBSK race day

Alexandre Michel has been posting on social media. He has a broken collarbone. He also posted video of the crash. I saw this in the paddock but didn't have the ability to slow it down or do any stop-motion analysis at the time. Do not click this link unless you want to see it ... Video Zoltan...

Iirc that was at Shannonville. Personally I don't push my limits at Mosport. I leave something on the table and just enjoy the ride.

What to expect when attending CBSK race day

We think the tangle happened because Michel started turning in but Frast was at least partially in his draft and couldn't scrub off enough speed to avoid collision. Draft is very significant at those speeds. On bikes with downforce aero (all modern superbikes) that's less effective when in...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Example - a year ago, there was only one fast-charger in Grand Bend. Now there's 3. There's still the thing about needing multiple phone apps for charging networks, but now, a lot of them talk to each other. Getting a charge going generally means pulling up, opening the app for a compatible...

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

Like I've said many times, don't confuse Tesla problems with EV problems. Don't confuse "any modern car" problems with EV problems, either.

Any GTAM'ers own an electric vehicle?

My Bolt crossed 100 000 km a week or two ago. Original tyres, though on the one hand some of that 100k has been done on snows and on the other hand, there's still wiggle room before wear bars. I'm still declaring them done after this season. Original brakes, too. Needs sway bar end links...

What to expect when attending CBSK race day

For those wondering about the outcome of the gnarly crash in Pro Superbike race 1 at the end of the main straight (fastest possible place to crash on the fastest possible bikes to crash on), one of the Flyin' Banana's team members posted a photo of him giving us the finger from the hospital, and...

In upper paddock, furthest end from the ramp between paddocks. Not riding ... doing pit-crew stuff.
