    Anyone using MyRoute.app?

I've been using it for years and prior to that was using it's predecessor Tyre. Here's a thread I posted on it a few years back and let me know if you have any specific questions. https://www.gtamotorcycle.com/xf/threads/route-planning-for-gps-myrouteapp.216187/

Getting bike from Algonquin area to TO - Best Option

Their premier membership will do up to 320km for one tow. I've had this membership for years and used it a few times! https://www.caasco.com/membership/compare-memberships

Getting bike from Algonquin area to TO - Best Option

I rode a bike with very warped front rotors for full season - just used engine braking and the rear brake. If the issue is just the front brakes, I can ride it back for you. Otherwise CAA will do a 320km tow I think.

    Window shopping again

For real. It used to be that 1/2 the forum wanted a Vstrom, but ship has sailed:)

    Window shopping again

Today on my way into work, a guy pulled up beside me riding one of these. I took a good look at it for the first time and it's a really nice bike. There's very few newer bikes that interest me, but I think I would buy one of these.

Dyno rd/ #9 and Monck rd road cond?

Let me know if that 6 is good and maybe that's a nice change to get to Northey's then. Have a good ride!

    Chain lubricant

Weird - did you change that link name or did it pop up spelled incorrectly like that from the website? I've been using the HHS 2000 for 20 years or so too, but the one thing I couldn't stand about it is how much fling there was with it. It's great that it's so thin, but that comes at a cost of...

Dyno rd/ #9 and Monck rd road cond?

If you are referring to the 1st route below, then no I haven't - looks pretty good though with some fast sweepers. I usually hit Northey's Bay from the east along the 2nd route below, by taking the 44/47.

Dyno rd/ #9 and Monck rd road cond?

I was just up that way on Friday and rode along most of the best roads up towards Barry’s Bay, so just ask if you want to know any other road conditions. Most were in amazing shape. This is the route from Friday:

    Bike lift capacity

Looks identical to mine, but I also have the compressed air option to lift. Mine is rated for 1000lbs. I recall the 800lb lifts at PA were slightly narrower and shorter, which yours does not look like.

Dyno rd/ #9 and Monck rd road cond?

The last time I was on Monck Rd, it was super bumpy and not worth riding. But if you are up in the area and remember Lower Faraday Rd, they repaved it a few years ago and it's quite nice now.

That sounds like my experience too:) I'll go fish them out to confirm what I have and they are yours.

    Mechanic recommendations

I used to think like this when it came to changing tires. Now I believe in having someone else do it. Have a set of barely used tire irons if anyone else wants to believe in themselves. Might even have some of those plastic rim protector's too.

West end shop I go to for tire swap is KMM - located very close to Derry/Kennedy. Simple - no nonsense shop. https://maps.app.goo.gl/R9j3AdZVbQvwwDRJ7

    2026 Rides

Some where just outside Kawartha Lakes / Lindsay. The route I took is below as well as another pic from that spot. I rode past it and was like wtf did I just see? and then a few km up the road I still couldn't stop thinking about it and had to ride back to get a better look and read all the...

    2026 Rides

Rode around from Minden through Haliburton yesterday and then over to Wilno. Was pretty hot out! Anyone from this forum live here? This is Redkenn Rd / Boice Bradley Rd, just outside the Haliburton Forest Preserve - recently topped up with fresh sand and graded: Ye Old Streetcar...

Doh! Looks like I have some family stuff to do on Saturday and Sunday now, so I was going to do this on Friday.

    Did you exercise today?

There’s a good studio called Modo Yoga in Sheridan Mall on Erin Mills, not too far from you. My wife teaches there and I’m going 2-3 times a week. It makes a huge difference in posture, mobility, and strength among many other things. Sitting at a desk for most of my work days is very poor for...

A ride to Wilno for a feed of Golabki & Pierogies

I really liked their peirogi's - thinking about them makes my mouth water:) And that's a great collection of riding roads in that area, including that Opeongo and Letterkenny combo that you took south of Wilno.

Why are cruisers so darn cheap?

Now that's a blast from the past:) When I first started riding I wanted to be a cruiser guy. Half helmet, cig in the mouth, but forgot to add the tassels. Rode a Virago 1100 around for a couple years and then tried out a VFR750 which was so much better and never looked back.
